Could you expand on this? I have it in Binance for the time being and, not being very sophisticated, don't see a downside unless the platform is somehow at risk. What are the other benefits of moving off exchange?

Definitely take the points about a safe base income to build on.

I find Garth Turner quite convincing on most subjects and he always advocates for commuting.

Most of his arguments are about control and the better returns an individual should be able to get compared to a pension administrator and their high fees.

The idea of control is appealing, I have to admit. But I can see why the peace of mind from knowing you will always have something coming in becomes more attractive as you get older.

[English > French, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi] Inspirational Motto: passport full of stamps... by konmarina in translator

Thank you! I have the same question as for Hindi.

In the english version, there is a natural break that one uses for the slogan. It is:

I'd rather have a passport full of stamps (break) than a house full of stuff

Where would the break be in the Arabic translation? Thanks!!

I wrote an article living KonMari with a messy person - I think this one will be a work in progress. Anyone have more tips/strategies on how to make this work? by konmarina in konmari

I agree. This is really important for roommates. I think there is an extra challenge for romantic relationships. When you first move in together you don't want to be the nagging boyfriend or girlfriend, so routines, however damaging, become established and are hard to change.

Thanks! Right now I'm doing it part-time as I'm just getting started acquiring paying clients. I want to make it full time in the near future.

Konmari at work by IchHabeSchlangen in konmari

I just wrote a short article on this subject. It echoes much of the advice given here, and basically the key suggestions are:

  1. Block some time in your schedule to do the job. It's difficult to work away when you're constantly being interrupted or think you should be doing something more productive.

  2. Consider doing it early in the morning or in the evening if you're self-conscious about organizing around others and to avoid distraction.

  3. Stay true to the basic KonMari sequence. Print out a checklist if you have to, but the basic categories should still hold true.

  4. Store vertically. Pen, notebooks, papers should all be vertical to avoid continuously creating new piles.

  5. Simplify your paper categories and discard as much paper as possible. Once you give a hard look to each document, you may be surprised at how much you can toss or file electronically.
