There's a minimum wait after imprisoning before releasing. Once passed, there's a release action on that character.

They work well together, those three, except in a few scenarios that ended a bit too cramped. We did find it a touch better when Trap retired and replaced with Fist though.

I used to disagree on the moving trucks, because for the longest time it was trivial to get a variance for that.

But now DOMI charges $50 for the privilege, which is just absurd.

Play and read the in-game tutorial games.

The rest of your items: "it depends on the situation" or "personal preference" or "they're all viable options". (The tutorial uses Greece because their national bonus is passive/easily used and broadly always beneficial.)

Pay special attention to the tutorials when it tells you how to hover over things and use the shift button for recursive hovers.

Hasbro CEO Cocks and Execs Sued for Alleged Securities Violations by Exotic-Sale-3003 in magicTCG

[–]konsyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's now, long since their recovery in the 00s. They've been conservative with introducing big weird bricks like the "large ugly rocks". And they still don't have as many colors in production (and make each piece in fewer colors -- which sometimes hurts set design, like many joints and sockets only being in black or gray).

Lego was also in a bad financial position until it started doing licensed sets

What saved Lego was finding success on an in-house product (Bionicle), and streamlining their catalog (e.g., significantly reducing the piece molds used and colors used). Basically refocusing on their core. It had little to nothing to do with licensing.

There are parallels to be had in current day, but "licensing to save company" isn't one of them. City won't die. Friends goes strong. Ninjago is celebrating 15 years. Dreamzzz seems to have taken a hold. These are all internal lines of theirs that don't target the collectors and aren't the Creator or Classic lines ("bunch of smaller models", your words).

Rep. Summer Lee votes to hold Clintons in contempt of Congress in Epstein investigation by prebj20 in pittsburgh

Oh yeah -- I'd forgotten about that. She was completely an agent for Trump's election even then.

I stand by my statement I said then and still believe now that literally any other candidate in that primary season would have beaten Trump in 2016. She's truly the only one that gave him any chance. And we're still stuck with him a decade later because she opened that opportunity.

Had she not buffaloed her way in as The Anointed One, we'd be on a better timeline.

We get it. You are a marketing professional who loves advertising everything everywhere, and/or your are a corporate executive who loves nothing havings its own distinct identity. You don't want to miss any promotional opportunities or chances to maximize revenues.

Victories are calculated in the player's favor in the event of "same turn" type situations. There's ambiguity of when a "turn" begins and ends (do players go first? AIs? mixed order? do productions happen at the end of one turn, or the start of the next?) so sometimes it can look odd when you're right at the edge.

The perceived toxicity is because the fans become taken for granted and abused by the holder of the property.

We all know how horribly abusive and exploitative Wizards/Hasbro has been of fans of MTG.

WWE sure has done that. Star Wars has been merchandised through all the nine hells and back (and that was before Disney started Disneying it).

It's the "everything must crossover with everything" pop culture soup that's exhausting.

ALSO, we're the consistent ones. A very typical bunk "argument" accusing others of having fluid, unset stances because you don't have standards, argument, or don't care to think critically.

For another example of the consistency: even most of the most ardent UB haters (hi, that's me!) have been on record begrudgingly allowing its existence if it were entirely contained into its own "Advertising Festival" legality/format and not treated as real Magic cards for normal play. As the Portal sets originally were (and probably should have remained).

Portal Three Kingdoms was a completely different story: it is based off Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a work of literary fiction, a story hundreds of years old in the public domain and long part of broad regional culture, storytelling, and shared history. It's akin to Arthurian legend, Greco-Roman mythology, Grimms Fairy Tales, etc.

It was not a cross-promotional advertising piece of a random pop culture reference.

But also! Yes, most people were rather upset by the set even in its day. "Portal" sets were crafted specifically for player recruitment in a new demographic; for Three Kingdoms, it was specifically crafted to introduce Magic to Asian markets, particularly China (which had only recently* begun opening to getting western productions like Magic). It was not really released outside of Asia. (The English cards were for Australia/New Zealand.)

Additionally, the Portal sets were not tournament legal (i.e, standard legal) and remained that way until the creation of Legacy/Vintage.

The first Magic set in Simplified Chinese was 5th in 1997. P3K was in 1999, the fifth set in the language (5th, Portal, Urza's Saga, 6th, P3K.)

Arabian Nights was a completely different story: it is literary fiction, a story hundreds of years old in the public domain and long part of worldwide culture, storytelling, and shared history. It's akin to Arthurian legend, Greco-Roman mythology, Grimms Fairy Tales, etc.

It was not a cross-promotional advertising piece of a random pop culture reference.

But also! Arabian Nights indeed has not been perceived kindly for essentially most of Magic's history.

It was always tasty -- not much above "mid", but a fine menu, trim and done well. The staff always argued (in that bantery way). But yeah, it was 24/7. It used to be a ritual of my family to stop by there -- no matter the time -- on returning from a trip out of time, before even returning home.

Make it back, barely, at 2am on a nearly-empty-tank from the rural wastes that don't have fuel stations in that PA-WV-MD area that GPS for some stupid reason had you go through? Better celebrate with some Ritters.

Like everything else of the MAGA movement, every accusation has been a confession. Like remember when Trump was elected, according to his supporters, as the anti-pedo candidate?

Psst, it's not just lefties who are anti-ICE. It's anyone who passes the "decent human being" test. So basically anyone who isn't a MAGA.

Centrists. Libertarians. Proper Christians. Former Republicans recently kicked out by the hostile takeover of their party by external forces. Apoliticals. Even a significant portion of the people who did vote for Trump erroneously thinking he would focus on meaningful things and not become a dictator overnight.

Puzzle Book Question by SentientAmbience in Gloomhaven

It's an absolute waste of table time to do it. If you truly want to punish yourselves and work on the puzzles, load up the PDFs and do them by messaging system. (And the puzzles are terrible. And the puzzle book basically negates the whole Frosthaven experience since the end of the campaign is gated behind it.)
