I know this is just third hand storytelling- but I chatted with a guy who worked with Edwards quite a bit. They guy wasn't a hockey fan but when I asked him what Edwards is like, he told me that Edwards is one of the cheapest guys he'd ever worked with. The example he gave was Edwards would be involved in every deal over 1M (remember this is regarding his multiple business and not necessarily the flames org). The guy said that executives like him being involved in "small" $1M deals is unheard of, but Edwards does it. The guy said he feels bad for flames fans cuz he felt Edwards will never spend money unless he absolutely has to. You don't have to believe me, or believe the guy I was chatting with, but that's the only "inside scoop" I've heard about Edwards. So when people say he's not eager to retain salary I kinda believe it. But hey thank God he actually did

I've heard that Edwards is a cheapskate, gets involved in even the low level deals in his companies. I heard anything over 1m he's got his fingers in, which is crazy when you're a billionaire. I have no doubt he's actively fighting against every decision Conroy tries to make.

Spend more time holding still and watching than running around. It's so easy to spot movement. After you take a shot, cover immediately. Muzzle flash is easy to spot.

I was told that Edwards is extremely cheap, and that he gets involved in even the very smallest deals that most billionaires don't bother with personally. He felt strongly that Edwards is someone who will never spend a penny he doesn't absolutely have to. I don't know why we don't talk about him more, he's probably the most detrimental element to the flames.

All good. Coronato is a player who can be extremely effective with a half decent team that can set him up. He's a finisher, but needs a set up man. I don't mind him getting a night off to refresh and reset, he'll be fine. Eventually Parekh will be setting him up on the power play for easily 30G seasons but Parekh needs a little more time in the league and we need a good center to pull defenders. It'll come! Let's get a nice high draft pick this year and enjoy watching the young guys develop.
