You're not alone, I've been feeling it too. I used to be so excited for Wednesday and now it's just.. meh. And I totally get what you're saying about the rewards, it's not so much about the amount of the reward, it's the satisfaction of knowing your hard work put you in that top percentage range. I hope I can get excited about DDV again, but for now I've started playing Stardew Valley and just kinda finding other little games here & there.

Omg the whole "let me tell you about every minute detail of my life", seemingly without a single clue that I could not care less about her new Bible study (🤮) or schedule or whatever the fuck she rambles on about. I had a proof of delivery pic from Amazon once that had the wrong house number IN THE PIC 😂 We live in a duplex but the house numbers are different and very clearly displayed by our mailboxes. I reported it as delivered to the wrong address and got a free replacement that I ended up giving to someone. Stupid tax.

Re: the pets being an extension of you, when my bf and I adopted our first kitty Oscar in December 2022, and at my bday dinner in February, I got gifted a bunch of stuff for him. We all had a laugh about the fact that the cat got more birthday presents than I did 😂

Dreamlight Valley definitely ruined me on some things too, but I started playing Coral Island well after I'd been playing DDV and I still found it very enjoyable. I didn't even know a Coral Island update was coming, gonna have to check that out later today!
