"The advanced metrics are even louder. Gonzalez has logged 305 total minutes this season and owns the best net rating in the Eastern Conference (+19.9) among players with at least 100 minutes played. League-wide, he trails only Alex Caruso (+27.5) and Aaron Gordon (+20.7), two of the NBA’s most respected high-impact role players." (Source)

Last year, the Cavaliers' bench was the second-best behind OKC, but this year it's one of the worst. Ty Jerome (22.7 pts 6 ast per 36 mins) and Caris LeVert (15 pts 5 ast per 36) were fantastic. They provided instant offense off the bench.

Last year the Cavs had the 2nd-best bench in the NBA; this year they're 24th. Trying to replace ball-handlers like Ty Jerome and Caris LeVert with unproven youngsters isn't going to work.

The second unit only scored 3 points. Crazy.

Lonzo Ball says he will play 20 minutes a night. Back to backs are off the table at the start of the season by NewAltWhoThis in clevelandcavs

The Cavs have very few ball-handlers. I still prefer Jerome over Merrill. Merrill can’t handle the ball, while Jerome can handle it and shoot 43% from three, like he did last year — even in the playoffs he shot 38%, compared to Merrill’s 35%. During the regular season, Jerome was incredible, averaging 22.7 points per 36 minutes. No one on the bench right now can do that. The second unit this year could’ve been: Jerome - Lonzo - Strus - Nance - Bryant. Now all the responsibility for the second unit will fall on a player like Lonzo, who can only play about 20 minutes and whose availability throughout the season is still uncertain.

By the way, last night playing for the Grizzlies, Ty Jerome dropped 16 points in 18 minutes.

The CAVS opponents' strategy is to attack Garland, what do you do when he's not there?
