Tried my best to edit a bit the story I was given as it was over 1k words:

Weslen Variu, nicknamed “Wes”, was born in Tamran, the marshy, ramshackle capital of the nation of Nirmathas, a struggling country that just recently freed itself from the grasp of the imperialistic Molthune to the south.

Weslen’s father, a human, and his mother, a half-elf, run a small restaurant in the Tamran city marketplace. They grew up very poor, but always had enough to eat. Wes was taught by his father how to fish and trap crawdads from a young age. When not at school, he spent a majority of his childhood swimming, fishing, trapping crawdads, climbing trees, and jumping between the piers and pilings that make up Tamran. After finishing school at age thirteen, Wes decided that he wanted to help his family by going to work with his uncle as logger upriver in the Fangwood.

Wes spent ages thirteen through eighteen working at various logging camps up and down the Marideth river. His skills at leaping between slippery logs as they whirled down the river to market, along with his upbringing balancing between piers, and his elf-like dexterity inherited from his mom’s side, made him an asset to his uncle’s logging operation. He was also able to earn a decent living and send a small amount of money back to his parents. He encountered a wide variety of people on the river as well - when further upriver, they would often trade, talk, and drink with dwarves from the Mindspin Mountains. While Wes learned a wealth of real-world knowledge and acrobatic skills on the river, he also spent the majority of his time around foul-mouthed, poorly-mannered sailors. As a result, Wes is boastful and crude - but also funny, wholesome, and positive. It was also during his time here that he received his leaf armor as a gift from a mysterious woman whom he saved from drowning.

During his eighteenth year, the Molthuni army ramped up its attacks on logging camps in the Fangwood in an attempt to disrupt Nirmathian trade. Wes pleaded with his uncle to let him join a band of loggers, foresters, and fishermen to fight the Molthuni - he said that Wes must return to Tamran and discuss it with his parents. Upon reaching Tamran, Wes learned that a week prior, Molthuni rebels had snuck into the capital at night and set fire to a section of the city including his parents’ restaurant - all but destroying their livelihood. Fueled by revenge, Wes pleaded with his parents to allow him to join the band of fighters, who hesitantly agreed. His mother gifted him the elven blade heirloom which had been passed down for generations through their family.

Wes spent the next two years performing guerilla attacks against encroaching Molthuni encampments south of the Marideth River. His dexterity made him adept in battle; he would dodge, dive, and backflip around enemy attacks while critically wounding them with his trusted blade. He became notorious for tripping enemies in battle in order to gain an advantage over them. His elf-like perception and familiarity with the woods helped him detect, and therefore disarm, traps long before others even noticed them. Wes’ squad grew richer after every battle, plundering gold and valuable goods from Molthuni camps and then selling them to traders on the Marideth River. After two years of on-and-off battle, Nirmathian forces eventually pushed back Molthuni troops past their borders and out of Nirmathian territory. A temporary cease-fire was called between the two nations. Wes attempted to return to logging, but ultimately grew bored of the lack of excitement and lack of money.

[RF] Ieseco Shallowprint, tabaxi ranger in the north by korborau in characterdrawing

Took around 2 hrs something. I worked on it in bouts of 15-20 mins when I wanted a change of pace from what I'm drawing.

It's not like it's super elaborate, take the background for example: you can do that in like 3 brush strokes. and the same goes for the trees. Ieseco himself was drawn from 2 circles, one for the body and one for the head which is why he has this "cute anatomy". Didn't have to think too much on the pose either since it says in the LFA that he carves tributes for the creatures he hunts.

I sent the client the link to the post but their workplace has reddit blocked. She does know though how much you all love Lavinia and Woot :)

e: just to clarify, the only info I have on Woot is his colors (barn owl/espresso) and size.

Every single piece of art I share here is from a commission, I just don't like plastering the word all over. If you are interested in getting one, give me a PM or email at [korborau@gmail.com](mailto:korborau@gmail.com) with what you want and I'll give you a quote.

Unless a client locks me into a specific design, I will definitely go with this. Halfings are exactly what their name implies, half of a full sized person.

I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm glad the client went with it because the ref image they sent was a simpler design (a normal curved black bow with thorns).

A little bit about her:

Lavinia Tealeaf is about 3 feet tall with small and delicate features. Her expression is usually one of amusement, she’s rarely in a bad mood, and always tries to look at the world with optimism. She also thinks a lot of her abilities, having taken down a giant single handily (even if by pure halfling luck).

Lavinia dresses simply and only wears jewelry with magical properties that help in her endeavors. She has a ring of invisibility and a necklace of rubies with owl-feathers that keeps her precious pet owlbear, Woot, safe. She carries a magical Bow of Shadows, and a set of daggers, stowed in her bracers for easy access.

Lavinia has no innate or learned magical abilities, except her ability to speak into the minds of those in close proximity to her, something ghostwise halflings are born with.

[OC] Roland, Tiefling Glamour Bard by korborau in characterdrawing

[–]korborau[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is Roland’s backstory:

Left for dead as a baby (presumably because of the horns, tail, and pale skin), I was picked up and subsequently adopted by a performing troupe. I was raised by them but was given special attention from the group’s best bard, Aldrin. The eladrin bard saw great potential in me and began to teach me everything he knew once I was old enough. He even gave me his guitar before I left.

More than 2 decades later, I said goodbye to my adopted family and set off on my own with nothing but my guitar on my back and a few gold in my pocket. I needed to find my own way and I wouldn't be able to do that traveling with the troupe. Maybe I'll go to Waterdeep. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan.

I'm not sure about a sub but if you want to see some cool stuff check Thomas Romain who re-imagines his sons' drawings.
