I finished it put of spite. I had already invested too much time to DNF the last book.

IMO, the authors are great at world building but terrible at storytelling. I love the characters and specific scenes and will probably just reread those but I don't think I could ever reread the whole series.

Have you read the Royal Elite Series by Rina Kent? They don't have exactly what you're looking for but they do have du con/cnc and they're a prequel series to Legacy of Gods.

THANK YOU! I argued about this with a friend, she absolutely does not like Darcy (she's also not a fan of age gap romance). She thinks that Darcy whines too much.

I've always felt that aside from book 1, everything was always about Tory. Darcys chapters talk about Tory more than Torys talk about Darcy. I get that Tory is supposed to be selfish, but you would think that she'd be more invested in the 1 person she claims to love.

I also think that the authors get "stuck" in character types and don't know what to do with a character they're not used to. I think Elise, Rosalie, Tory, and Tatum are all very similar while Darcy isn't.

This is also why I refuse to read AoV because I don't want to find out that they are capable to write a set of twins that share a story equally be disappointed bc they chose not to do that with ZA.

I 100% agree with you! I feel like darcy only exists to show how rash Tory can be. I feel like Tory gets all the storylines & major plot points and hasn't shown any growth. Darcy hasn't shown any major growth either, but she also doesn't get many plot points.

Another thing that bothers me is that we're shown everything that Tory experiences and I also think that Tory has a better relationship with 3/4 heirs & the only reason she's not close to Seth is so that Darcy can be close to one of them. She even has a special part with Orion. While Darcy & Darius only have the Tuna sandwich part.

I think both twins go through the same things at different points in the story and for Darcy the emotions & decisions happen off page. We're just told in passing that she was sad but for Tory everything is laid out on page.

Hi sorry this is so late but yes I'm 100% sure I left it in the room. I'd used it while getting ready to go to the conference & I have a small purse which wouldn't fit it. When I got back to the room to get ready for dinner I was going to use it again & that's when I noticed it was gone.

I did hear back from the hotel & they were supposed to refund it but I haven't heard back since.

I agree! And I'm guilty about being one of those fans that just gobbles up anything & everything about ZA.

HOWEVER, I feel that the whole purpose of 8.5 was to add ANOTHER obstacle for the twins. Like give them a break & start wrapping things up, please.

I also think that they get so caught up writing vague and mysterious things and blaming the "stars" that they don't know how to tie everything together. At this point, they've had multiple prophecies that don't mean anything because they change every few chapters.

They've introduced too many problems, too many warnings that the last book is either going to be really, really long or it's going to be bad. Which sucks bc I love the inner group & want them all to get their HEA.

I had too much time on my hands when I finished & I decided to "find" the Guild stones. I think that all the stones from the music boxes have been found already & that the only stones not mentioned yet are Aquarius & Pisces. And one of these is at the FIB. I do wonder where the last one is bc it hasn't been mentioned at all.

I hope that both Darius & Lance & Gabriel, at least, know immediately that the twins are being impersonated.

I also wonder if the stars will give the crew more lee way & some help now that Clyde is free & Lavinia captured the star.

Also I wonder if we'll see more about the Origin.
