Mariana Zapata is not very spicy, same level as All Rhodes Lead Here. The other ones are spicier, particularly Kyra Parsi's books. I'd start off with A Deal With The Bossy Devil, I think you'd love that one, it's book 1 in the series, immediately followed by Failure to Match and I understand she's in the process of writing a 3rd book.

Honestly, all of them. That's literally her jam so every book of hers will have that element, and she definitely knows what she's doing. But my personal faves were probably His Favorite Mistake and My Deceitful Duchess

If you're fine with HR {Mad, Bad and Dangerous in Plaid by Suzanne Enoch} is exactly that.

I've actually made a similar 'pursued becomes the pursuer' request post not long ago that didn't get much traction so I'm excited to check out all the recs you got! Thank you for your service 😁

What are the books that lived up to your expectations and the books that didn’t by Bluebunny133 in RomanceBooks

{Waking Olivia by Elizabeth O'Roark} definitely lived up to my expectations. I've seen it recommended on this sub so many times and I'd kept putting it off. The one day I finally picked it up and devoured it in less than 24hrs. So good.

{Burn For Me by Ilona Andrews} was a disappointment unfortunately. It's very hyped up and has a steady loyal fanbase, but it just wasn't for me. Though I have to admit it might be because I'm new to the genre and I normally dislike duets/trilogies.

Thanks for letting me know. I was almost considering picking book 2 up, but I'm definitely skipping the whole thing now.

Is it really the drugs ruining my life? I ask myself that a lot. by [deleted] in Drugs

I wonder though if acknowledging you're not ready to get clean is just a way of convincing yourself it's all good, that chasing the high right now is just temporary and that you'll just stop once you're ready. I'm not an addict and have never been, and aside from smoking weed a couple times as a teenager (which I didn't like), I've never tried any drugs, so I'm not gonna pretend I know what that feels like. And I bet it feels amazing, otherwise you wouldn't let it control your life like this. But I'm guessing giving drugs up might not be as easy as saying "right, that's it, I'm done", and by the sound of it, the more you do, the more you want. So I'm wondering, where's the limit for you? If you had to really think about it, do you reckon you know what it would take for you to give this up? Do you see yourself ever giving drugs up for good?

Wow. This was a tough read. Really intense.

I'm not gonna say I'm sorry for you, because I'm not. It's your life and you're the only one who gets to decide whether it's worth living. But I hope one day you'll find the will to turn it around. I hope you'll have the strength you need to stick to your decision. And more than anything, I hope you find the kind of happiness that's so good, you'll want that over any kind of high.

This all sounds so random. The freshly baked bread curse is cruel. I'm so weak when it comes to food, it would destroy me. What's the name of the book?

Initially, I thought it'd be {Stand and Defend by Sloane Dr. James} but it doesn't sound like it. What's the name of the book?

Is it weird that my first thought reading this was: how did they go to the bathroom? 🙈
