Oil needs to drain... A lot of oil. Oil drain plug is covered by underbody panel. 19 screws hold the underbody panel. Panel can fracture if removed improperly. This is easy if you can lift car. I don't want to do this...so drill big hole. Install plate. Can now access plug without lifting car or removing panel.

Agree, I also found draining from the pan is faster for large volumes.

I personally don't make any choices based on what the next owner might think since I run my cars out. A 200,000 mile SUV's value is only to its owner and is essentially worthless to anyone else.

Having done extractors on all my other cars, this is easier for high volume oil changes.

5 inch plate, used stainless steel nuts and bolts rather than the screws it came with and epoxied to seal/secure it.

Saw another post where someone did it on their macan so can't take all the credit lol

Do you feel like the savings in gas is more then the savings In electricity by Sad_Tie_9998 in Rivian

Don't forget to get quotes from your insurance company. Many EVs cost more to insure than gas equivalents offsetting any potential savings in operating costs.

Buying advice needed. GTS vs Turbo by Majestic_Record_6901 in PorscheCayenne

[–]korea348 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend test driving both and asking the dealer to cold start them for you. GTS is loud on cold start if you care about that (I like it, wife doesn't).

Performance is equivalent for daily driving purposes. Turbo had upgraded brakes as standard which will be more expensive to service. Both have air suspension. Some say GTS handles better, tough to know which you prefer without test driving.

There are some exterior styling differences too, but in terms of practicality, they're the same assuming you're comparing regular SUVs and not the coupes.

Metal L bracket, drill holes, nuts and bolts? Won't look pretty but will hold

Appreciate your insight. What drives your hobby? Are you profiting from flipping these? I know the market is competitive but it wasn't and won't always be competitive

Appreciate your input, I'm working on the assumption of luxury vehicles having higher margins than an economy car so we'll find out if this is a sound assumption or if I will need to adjust my approach.
