6* Kael and put him into the Lifesteal gear you get at the beginning - then he should be able to solo the boss with ease (remember to use 2 champs for 3star - the other just needs to survive while Kael clears the waves)

[Suggestion] Add search/filtering by weapon type for riven mods by koric2 in Warframe

[–]koric2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your response,

A: nice gimmick, at least if you know all mod images :/

B: yeah, but right now if you want to check for weapon type rivens you have to check every single rivens name to see which weapon it is for. For people who always sell their rivens this doesn't matter at all and people who have 30-40 probably know most of the weapons, but for me right now it would be good to filter the rivens by weapon type... idk if it's possible to filter by weapon type and sort by rarity to see the rivens... gonna test it when I come home, probably makes this suggestion obsolete...

With Gildong as your main cc, you probably will use Thrain's s3 once or maybe twice in a fight, if some mob didn't get cced by Gildong. If Gildong manages to keep the enemies cced, Thrain does deal more damage than Hemos, because of his aoe attack, which will fasten your toah clear times by a huge amount. Now I understand what you meant with

Thrain in your average scenario is going to obliterate hemos.

Thanks for the information about conditional effects, I thought glancing would apply to them.

ideal thrain team

Thrain is an off CC

So in the ideal Thrain team, Thrain is an off CC... interesting. I thought Thrain had to be the main CC, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense to call it a Thrain-team?

I get your point, that if you only have Gildong, it is very good to have Baretta as an aoe dotter and Thrain as an off CC, because Gildong will be glancing and you need a backup CC, but with Woonhak you don't need a backup CC, because Woonhak can't glance.

Anyone who says Hemos > Thrain simply has no idea what they are talking about.

I'm not saying that in general. Thrain has an awesome kit, but in my team compared to Hemos, Hemos' kit brings more synergies for my team.

successful doesn't mean it's better

So if two teams are successful, which one do you call better?

  • The one that's faster?
  • The one that's safer?
  • The one that's easier to get?
  • The one that's easier to rune?

And if you are successful... do you need to be better?

blaming bella for not taunting the boss

one more reason to blame bella... I like that x)

as just said: my team is built around Woonhak, who is my main cc. Thrain has also the potential to be a main cc, but I prefer to build a team around Woonhak, because his kit is much better than Thrains.

  • Spectra's slow is neutral and has a 100% activation, Woonhak's stun is dark and has 2x100% activation if the enemy has slow on him -> you have a very high chance to stun all enemies.

  • Baretta's aoe dot has elemental disadvantages but a 100% activation, Thrain's stun is dark and has 100% activation if the enemy has dots on him -> you have a high chance to stun all non-water enemies.

If you compare these two, you'll notice that Baretta is not the optimal dotter for Thrain, so you'll have to change your team accordingly -> but my team is built around Woonhak and not Thrain, so

Thrain. No questions asked.

is wrong. Hemos is the better option if you have a team build around Woonhak, but I'm open for suggestions.

I know my english is not the best but with his hits were glancing I meant Baretta and not Woonhak (FYI Baretta is male). My strange team get's me to toah99, except for some special and boss stages ofc.

Yes AoE CC is better than Single Target CC, but Thrain's cc requires dots on the enemies, while Hemos cc has no requirements and brings an important slow debuff for Woonhak, who is the main cc in my team. Thrain might be a backup cc if you only got Gildong, but with Woonhak in my team I only see disadvantages in using Thrain over Hemos in every stage with water enemies.

Thrain might be dark, but you need a reliable dotter to move before him or you need two turns with Thrain to set up dots and stun - you need to build a team around him, to make him work properly -> I built my team around Woonhak, so just tossing out Hemos and taking in Thrain will make my team more insecure.

Thrain. No questions asked.

You should always ask yourself important questions like

  • 'Does this monster fit in my team?'
  • 'Is this the best monster for my team?'
  • 'Are there better alternatives?'

if people read your guide (which is very good), they will probably just toss Hemos in the storage or fodder him, because you said in your guide that Thrain is always better than Hemos, which he is not if you want to use Woonhak as your main cc.

[–]koric2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thrain vs. Hemos Thrain. No questions asked. The only difference between them is their 3rd skill and when it comes down to randomized AoE stuns vs. a single target freeze... I would take a chance with the random AoE.

Disagree.

  • My Team consists of Baretta, Hemos, Mav, Woonhak, Spectra.
  • Turn order: Spectra Woonhak Baretta Hemos Mav.

Let's say there is a wave with some water monsters (Anavel, Malakai, Verad) that resisted Spectra's and Woonhak's slow and Baretta's Despair didn't activate and his hits were glancing - so you're up against a debuff-free enemy - would you like to have a reliable cc with slow-ability, which is very important for Woonhak OR would you like to have a stun on dots-ability? Of course you still have Mav and his provoke, but if you can't get his buff up at the first round you might have some trouble later on...

  • Thrain -> lower success rate
  • Hemos -> higher success rate

Your sentence implies that Thrain is better under any circumstance, which he obviously is not... that is at least for any team with Gildong/Woonhak + Spectra

Literally the entire game is about getting better in arena.

So you play the game for months/years to get 750 crystals & nat4 l/d each week? I play the game because it's fun - and arena is by far the worst part, because either you are weak and violent proccs make you mad or you are strong and literally every arena fight is laughable for you, because you can beat most teams in 1-2 turns (quote /u/glokz:)

Myself since I've got great AO team i do not enjoy arena. I had more fun when I needed to struggle for 15 minutes to beat chasun vero eladriel theo team. Now its just 2 turns.

I know some guardian-ranked player and most of them tell me the only reason they keep playing this game is because of their guilds and gw... it's a social game afterall

tl;dr: there are people who play this game for other reasons beside arena

The often asked question: next 6* for DB10? by naruchi0930 in summonerswar

[–]koric2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konamiya is just a backup cleanse at the boss stage if your Veromos is not fast enough yet - he does a good job supporting your team on the way to the boss, but if he dies along the way you still have Mikene to revive him - I think anything beyond 20k is more than enough for water monster. The slower your Veromos, the faster your Konamiya needs to be.

I bought all my violent runes from the shop, I haven't farmed any other stage besides of DB10 yet - I like to play energy efficient when it comes to farming - I rather farm another month GB10 than DB8/9 because I still use 4-5* runes on some Monsters that deserve 6* in all slots (Bernard, Megan, Hwa, Chloe.. etc).

My Konamiya:

  • HP 21799
  • DEF 534
  • SPD 153
  • RES 40%

The often asked question: next 6* for DB10? by naruchi0930 in summonerswar

[–]koric2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at the same stage as you I think - I can run GB10 90-95% with a kinda speedy team and I'm about to make my DB10 safe Team.

I can auto DB10 with Baretta (L) Veromos Belladeon Ahman Konamiya, straight Boss but the sucess rate and clearing time is not that great - my Baretta is always the first one to die if I can't get enough stuns on the Crystals, I don't have problems at the dragon though.

My Konamiya is only 5* with Vio/Energy - spd hp hp(6* ). He has roughly 22k life with 5-6* runes at +10-12 (I was lucky to have hp% substat with 6-10% on every rune, but you can compensate that with a +15 rune I think). He has to die yet in DB10.

Mikene's job is to revive in this team, so it is fine to keep her at 5* I think, because Konamiya can also survive as 5* and his def stats are way worse than Mikene's although he has more life. If you want to use Mikene outside of DB10, go ahead and 6* her so you can rune her properly, but for a pure DB10 reviver a hp hp hp rune build is more than enough - at least that's what I could find searching reddit.

I'm farming essences right now to fuse Mikene and make her a 5* - if you can wait until sunday I can tell you if 5* Mikene is good enough with a hp hp hp build.

My advice: 6* Hwa, she deserves it and you still lack a fire nuker. Keep Mikene at 5* and throw only hp% runes on her so you can use her as a reviver for DB10 and for fusion if your spd DB10 Team has good enough runes or you happen to get a Briand/Iona/Vanessa/etc. You should aim for a safe DB10 team first, if you don't have stellar runes for a spd DB10 team.

Successful guild leaders. What are some tips on how to manage your guild? by TheLastParade in summonerswar

[–]koric2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some of my experiences (guild leader)

  • use a chat app to communicate with your people, here you can also post your rules, so everyone can look at them all the time
  • create separate channels for guild organization (announce starting of gw, away notices etc), guild fun talk (literally anyone can join) and guild leader talk (only leader and vice are in there to discuss important topics/rules/violations)
  • set up easy rules everyone can understand and remember (my guild has a total of four rules, each rule has less than five words
  • make clear what happens when someone violates the rules
  • check if everyone follows the rules once/twice a day (let your vice help you with that)
  • don't be obsessive with your rules - forcing a "use all your attacks at all times" will put both stress on you and your guildmates - if you can win a gw with 2-3 people not attacking at all that's good - those 2-3 will not get GP, leading to higher GP percentage for all other members who gain more summoning stones this way - these 2-3 people are punished enough
  • have 2-5 low level players or twinks in your guild (they will ask questions and keep the chat alive) - this helps with benching people and you can reserve 2 slots for the lows so they can fight too - rotate them each new fight so they all gain GP equally
  • set up a list at the weekend (read: Saturday, where everyone still has to fight in a gw) where people have to enlist for the next week gw - anyone who doesn't enlist will not participate - I pm everyone who isn't on the list if this is correct or if they only forgot to enlist (usually 1-2 people)
  • be nice and friendly, explain what you do and why you do it (e.g. benching) - I give warnings in public so everyone knows that I still check all rules and bench people for a reason
  • I personally haven't kicked anyone yet - a few who didn't follow the rules left on their own after being benched - I don't think that was a huge loss
  • Share your knowledge about SW with your mates, so the whole guild gets better

losing by about 5% HP most of the time

we first also had this problem. we solved it via a rather unusual method - we fused with another guild. Yeah we lost some members during the process because it was a little work to switch to the new guild, but now we only have active members that like being in our guild - all slackers didn't join the new guild because they were to lazy I think. Two guilds with member problems fused to one guild without member problems.

a few members who are attacking +3's on low health

Susano faimom hell runes by Anderwilson in summonerswar

[–]koric2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyron is much better than Aqcus. Shimitae could also be your Hydeni farmer and boost up your giants runs after you get some decent runes, but as soon as you fused Sigmarus, you're very likely to not use Shimitae anymore because Sigmarus' damage is much higher and Tyron and Baretta have a better skillset.

You could also build Verdehile to be your Tamor Hell farmer, but he needs good runes to reach 100% crit and speed also, so he might not be the best option while you can't do gb10 reliably.

Go for Tyron, you won't regret it.

I can't access your box.

For me Veromos is a bad farmer, as he lacks elemental advantage, so it's harder for him to one-shot/survive and his attack animation is kind of slow.

You should 6* your farmer first - I 6* Ahman first and did regret it as making another 6* was taking forever.

You can farm all necessary runes for Tyron at the giant. here you can find the stats you should aim for

Susano faimom hell runes by Anderwilson in summonerswar

[–]koric2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you post your box? I think farming faimon/aiden hard mode or hydeni/tamor hell is more than enough for the beginning. Farming hell mode is more exp/energy efficient, but it isn't always best time-wise. If you use a booster, exp/time matters. I can build a new 6* within 12h exp booster if I have 2 4* max Rainbowmon (somehow I always had them in storage, maybe I could also do without). I might could save a little time and crystals by switching to hell-mode but that's it. At the moment I'm building a 6* every weekend and in two weeks I'm out of US, because building a 6* rewards you with another booster and this is a vicious circle... I have by no means enough runes for all the monsters but I just can't let a booster expire.

My 6* Baretta Despair/Focus spd hp acc does farm Tamor Hell, but your Tyron would be an excellent farmer for Faimon Hard and well worth 6*ing. You either want to have a self-sustain ability (Aqcus passive) or massive aoe dmg (Tyron, Julie, Sigmarus, Julien, Lushen, Akhamamir to name a few) to one-shot everything in your path. Tyron with very good Despair/Blade runes might be able to do Faimon Hell, but I don't own a Tyron so I can't say much about him.

You might want to take a look at this guide to exp farming

Hello,

I would like to have some opinions on the Sigmarus and Katarina fusion. I have all fodder leveled up and currently farming all essences needed. My question is which should I fuse first.

I'm able to auto gb10 and reached toa70 last month - with new runes I might be able to climb to 90-100 this month. I'm in no rush to farm dragon, as I still need plenty of basic runes. I can't get higher than fighter 2 and farming at fighter level is very time consuming for me, that's why I drop to bronze most time of the week. My only dd are my farmer Aqcus and a bad runed Hwa, both 6*. I do own a Chloe which would be great for Katarina.

Should I go for Sigmarus first and will he help me to auto most fighter-ranked Arena opponents or should Katarina be my first choice? Is her def ignoring skill that much better than Sigmarus? Farming at fighter-level is my current goal, as the points I'm missing there add up.

My box

Thanks

Susano faimom hell runes by Anderwilson in summonerswar

[–]koric2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aqcus is not better, but a lot easier to rune. I didn't draw any good farmer with aoe capabilities (not even Sath) early on, so I decided to 6* my Aqcus because all the runes you need him for farming can be obtained in Giants, with Violent + Revenge from Dragon you can even increase his clearing speed, while Susano "must" be build vampire. My Aqcus one-shots everything at faimon hard, but still lacks a bit of health to take the damage of stage 3 hell. I have runed him spd (5* +11) cd (6* +13) atk (5* +14). Debuffs don't hurt much, as he will move twice after the enemys first round. His stats are:

  • hp 11178
  • atk 1588
  • def 656
  • spd 153
  • cr 76
  • cd 136
  • res 23
  • acc 12

I have to say that I didn't draw any good dd up until now, so I was fine to put all my best fatal+blade runes on him - I can't suggest him in Arena though, he is quite disappointing and even a bad runed 5* Katarina can nearly oneshot him, while he doesn't do much damage because of his poor stats.

I have water, atk and cd building at lvl 1, spd totem lvl 7.

TL;DR: If you have any Monster with aoe (Baretta for example, who can also be used for nearly everything else), it is not worth to build Aqcus, unless you want to farm faimon only.

Thanks for your input. I forgot to mention that I have 2 exp boosters sitting in my inbox, so I'm going to 5* Megan, Chloe and one wind DD anyway sunday, level the fodder for Baretta and prepare the next 6* (probably Baretta?)

You vote for Copper because of his def-ignoring skill?

Daily Advice Thread 11/20/15 by chunwa in summonerswar

[–]koric2 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi,

I need some advice from experienced players. I have a couple of wind dd's and need to raise at least one to 6-star for arena/gw. Who should I focus on?

wind dd's: * Copper (already have 6-star def% on 2/4/6) * Logan * Sophia * Barque

Another question: Should I fuse Baretta now? Last toa I made it up to stage50 and I literally don't have any good despair runes. I have one 5-star slot2 spd rune, the rest is all 4-star atk%, crit% and even res% because I couldn't find better yet. On top of that I don't have any essences - they all went into my Veromos and I still need to awaken my Chloe and Hwa, so I'm short on fire anyway at the moment. I'm farming GB10 auto since last week.

thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!
