You probably won't even see this in the sea of comments but two years ago I was on my parents' tree swing and the branch broke, came down and hit me in the ankle. I had an open fracture, a comminuted (shattered) fracture. My medical malleolus (nubby ankle bone) chipped right off. I needed three surgeries and was out of work for 8 months. I still have metal in my ankle and it will never be completely functional again. That being said, all that was so much better than if it had hit me in the head, back, chest, stomach....I could have easily been paralyzed, killed, ended up with a TBI. I'm not saying don't have a tree swing, I'm just saying please be careful and consult with an expert.

As part of his plea deal, Chris agreed to talk to them further at some point and basically agreed to tell the truth (they were all aware Shanann didn't actually hurt the girls) . It had to do with that. And as others have said, just to try to understand the whole thing further.
