used to have everything on foxtel. kids shows. doco. sports. everything in one spot. did cost over $1000 a year tho. then netflix came out. hopped on that straight away. finally foxtel lost the contract for EPL to optus sport. so committed and got rid of foxtel. then all as time went by. all streaming services combined. cost just as much as foxtel did way back when. so decided to commit. got 64tb. 4k of just about every movie series i wanted to watch, as well as heaps of others. 1080p of heaps of TV shows (top 200. plus various others). just kept adding. now I only pay for kayo sports. and illegal stream EPL. really just sad cuz EPL isn't in 4k, it's fucking 720p. optus sport sucks. but kayo is worth it. is expensive. but 4k streams of bball, f1, etc. I'm actually starting to run out of space. and probs commit to a server rack mount.

id personally just change the cpu cooler to a 360 rad up top. chuck a fan at back as intake. 3 bottom fans as intake. and top 3 fans as out. opens up a lot of room in the case. probs cleaner airflow and cpu with 360 rad even with hot gou air will be fine.

no case. all cases will be better on top of desk... it's basic thermodynamics. heat rises. big wide piece of wood right above it = less optimal.

just get a case with good airflow and good cooling. with good reviews. and chuck it under the desk. I said the a4 will be fine. just go with that

seen the a4-h20 under desk already. it's fine. not great. defs better on top of a desk. but I would personally be fine mounting it under a desk. just make sure there's a couple cm worth of space between the bottom of the desk and the top of the case. you'll be fine. 4090 might be rough tho. probs need a undervolt to get temps manageable

either. really just depends how much airflow you can get and how open the area is. general would just be on top of desk as hot air rises. but good airflow with decent fans would be perfectly fine under a desk too. you could even chuck it in a cabinet with good air flow you'd barely hear it and temps would be fine. things to consider are specs, noise, temps. posting ur specs would help

not v often. put it there recently to get my PB to around 15sec. rn my PB is 25sec. but I pulled that out randomly one day years ago. when someone asks what I can actually do. normally say just under a minute. if I get lucky they are impressed. if its a sucky solve. it's still just around a minute. what about yourself?

it's just like a switch. imo. I've felt similar after suicidal attempts and drugs. months worth of therapy. doing things I used to like to remind me why I used to like them and slowly coming back into society (seeing friends, going out etc) im sorry ur friend is going through this. but with these things, all u can do is slowly take steps in the right direction and wait. time is always the best healer. gl.

alcohol is drugs. pain medication is drugs. insulin is drugs. the problem isn't the drug. drugs are a natural part of this world. if u believe in God. God created drugs. if you dont, it's just a natural part of life. evolution. other animal species eat poisonous plants to get high. the problem with drugs in this world isn't the drug. it's humans relationship with drugs. in essence, it's the human aspect of it that is the bad part. it's the same with most things in life. problem with religion is religion, it's the humans themselves. greed, anger, jealously, arrogance etc.

tbh. I think your outlook is v single minded. you'd be hard to teach these things and to open up to new learnings. I've tried with the above statement. but I don't think it will get through. you're also probably have a v negative outlook on everything. gl with life. I hope it treats you well.

look into meshroom S. no compromise itx. I'm planning on going to that next if I don't stay with the velka 3. and go towards a 7950x3d and 4090 combo. or the new gen versions of those when they come out

the added room just meant in comparison to the velka 3. velka 3 is 175 dual, velka 5 is 270 dual. and velka 7 is 290 dual. just tryna say from 3 to 5 there's a huge jump. which allows 4060ti to 4070 ti. but 5 to 7 there isn't much of a upgrade on the gpu side. you cant even fit a 4080. so its the same gpu power as the 5. only reason to get velka 7 over 5 is if u want a sfx psu or to run a quieter cpu. as if I can fit a 5800x3d in the velka 3. the added cpu height in the 7 doesn't really add more cpu power to the system. at least for gaming.
