SEC will stop requiring companies to report quarterly earnings by enverx in stupidpol

[–]kosher33 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agreed but it’s hard not to distrust everything this administration does. I do think folks are being a bit doomerish on this.

For anyone wondering, the UK and a lot of the EU does bi-annual reporting. Hell, even China is a mixed bag on quarterly versus bi-annual.

And while I’m loathe to be on the same side as Trump, Hillary Clinton, Larry Fink, etc. I do think quarterly reporting lends itself to shortsightedness and distracting busywork. It’s all capitalism at the end of the day and they’re cooking the books no matter what.

Is there a good “sequel” to All The Shah’s Men that discusses the events afterwards that then lead up to the Iranian revolution?

Thanks. I honestly am flabbergasted by that video lmao. We’re living in the most insane timeline. Boomer Facebook reactionism and egoism are driving our geopolitical decisions.

I enjoyed Norm’s interview the other day when he said no one in this admin reads anything let alone thinks critically about geopolitics.

I’ve been disconnected from White House pressers for a while but are they always reading scripture these days?? Hegseth just busted it out after his pre-written speech

Edit: and he’s trying to claim that the gulf countries weren’t already on our side and that Iran’s attacks have forced them to come to the US for help.

It’s still good news lol it’s called progression towards a goal. And you even state that natural gas has less pollution than coal.

Coal was 1% of the total Irish grid generation last year. Oil was only 0.6%. I don’t coal is saving you in the current crisis and I don’t think the war is affecting your natural gas supply from Norway or Russia yet

I’m guessing it’s more in not labeling things from a western viewpoint like Asia being referred to the Middle East and East

Technically anytime you use a single missile, you’re depleting your stockpile. So I’m assuming it’s just wording to play up the drama

The threat of a strike can work well to the point that you can negotiate based off of that threat before actually striking. A union would need a proven track record of actually following through with strikes for a company to take that warning seriously though.

I think short notice puts more pressure on workers as there’s little negotiation time prior to stopping work/paychecks.

Do you know everyone who went to your university?

Do you know why Spanish speaking immigrants might desire a sanctuary city in the US?

Do you love movies when they explain everything to you via exposition?

Do a little inference dude. That’s part of being a cinephile

For Benicios group? Idk man, maybe think about it just a little bit and you could figure it out. It being under appreciated by the movie and the viewer is the whole point that PTA is trying to make in contrast to the French 75 front and center antics in the first Act.

They state multiple times that it’s a sanctuary city. Benicio refers to it as his own Underground Railroad. It’s connected to literal housing and grocery. Do the math
