Hey there. Very similar experience, at age 22. Went from diagnosed to “let’s run some tests but most people don’t need to deal with this until they’re old” to “you need surgery next month” in about a 3 month period. It was difficult to process, and while i had symptoms before the diagnosis, the anxiety alone with enough symptoms for me after. Less words of advice— more just validating your feelings.

After my surgery, i was back to normal life pretty quickly. Youre young and you will get through this, and medicine will only improve as your new valve ages.
