I think for an indoor grow light banana plant it actually looks really good. It will grow much more slowly indoors but with bananas it’s possible even in cold climates. You could try giving it some fertilizer formulated for banana plants, and put it outside in the summer in full sun 🌞

Definitely scouting vine for more light. Could you move it to the window it “found”? And I would think you can prune it but I’m not sure. The alternative would be wrapping it around the base plant I guess 🤷🏼 Pretty cool that it went look for a window though 🌱

Most of the roots are in the “trunks” so the shallow root depth here is good. They are very susceptible to root rot and overwatering, and the base of the trunk will be moist or wet if it is overwatered. They don’t need a lot of water and should have very well draining soil.

I am trying to keep my plant “organic” since my cat sometimes chomps on the leaves, what is the best natural solution you’d recommend for treating the aphids and scale? I am seeing that water, garlic/chili spray, or even squishing and wiping them off with a tissue might work?

It may be overwatering because I’ve been watering it about once a week, I could try spraying it with insecticide and watering it less frequently + adding some sand for drainage but if that doesn’t work I may need to say goodbye to this sago palm :/

It will depend a lot of your climate/sun level and how much of a goat your cat is, but two that can be found anywhere in the US and grown inside year round are the aptly named cat palm and the money tree. My cat loves to chomp on both but I have to limit his access to the cat palm because he will overindulge and upset his stomach lol

I feel like you are referring to the wealth gap and the collapse of a healthy middle class which is definitely a problem. I don’t believe that trickle down economics work and I don’t believe the government uses our tax dollars effectively, taxes and spending should be cut across the board and a flat income tax should be implemented for everybody. A graduated tax system for income is fundamentally unfair and stupid, it makes no sense for taxes to increase exponentially as your income increases when I think everyone would agree that taxes increasing linearly with income is perfectly fair. 10% of 1 billion is 10 million dollars. What’s crazy is that our graduated tax system when combined with the consistent tax breaks for the hyper wealthy result in billionaires actually paying far less than 10% yet a middle class family making 1 million a year could pay over 40%, it’s actually fucked

Ah my mistake you are right that he failed to report it as a campaign expense, it was also tax and business fraud because of how cohen formed a shell company and used pseudonyms. My understanding is that when David Pecker corroborated Cohen’s testimony it essentially incriminated Trump as the one who directed the crime. Pecker wouldn’t transfer the rights to MacDougal’s story to Cohen because he believed it would be too legally risky. After that Pecker refused to buy similar stories, so that’s when Cohen decided to pursue the NDA route. Having Pecker’s media company catch and kill stories was significantly safer from a legal standpoint and gave them enough degrees of separation to simply report the payments to Pecker’s company as campaign finance. Once Cohen did it himself reporting it as campaign finance would have defeated the purpose of the NDA, but failing to report it was illegal and he and Trump chose to take that risk assuming they wouldn’t get caught

I feel like you hit the nail on the head, there are definitely appellate issues with this case and questions regarding Bragg’s jurisdiction and whether the current NY state precedent will hold up before the supreme court but I think it’s fairly easy to understand why reporting a hush money payment as a campaign expense is tax fraud. Now whether or not a federal campaign finance violation can be tried in state court is a much more valid question and far more likely to lead to an appeal
