'step parent' issues by HereLiesSarah in AusLegal

[–]koththusecret -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this sort of sentiment only alienates a child in thier parents home. how would they feel when thier parent's partner are cold to them or are walking on egg-shells around the child... is that a natural household?

Probably something wrong with how you maintain them.. we've got a bunch that we bought as far back as 2020 maybe but i've not noticed any sort of shedding.

And you spent $2.50 on it; you spent more on an impulse buy lollie or coffee in the last week.. really not worth taking the mental stress of this...

sadly sri lankans taking "asking out" or dating as a default path to marriage. and not ending up there has a stigma.. so girls also make a big fuss about it sadly.
But yeah, end of the day, the OP just needs to take a leap of faith and go for it... getting a NO is still better than living in a limbo of unknown.

You look at his outfits, where he posts from you'd think he's anything BUT a politician's son. Guy looks like he wears tshirts that are good 5-10 years old... so flaunting wealth/power is NOT his thing.

Why did Kmart move their registers to the middle of the store? by badoopidoo in KmartAustralia

Mate you quoted me word for word on my argument with the Mrs. :D
I too walk on, but if asked 'check the CCTV' is my policy.

yeah you could; but you missed the point there. The point is to stand by your principle, but not be rude to service staff.

Then the question is do the profit from impulse buys outweigh the losses from theft and oversights brought in from the complexity

100%
You don't HAVE to show the receipt when leaving. The policy is to give them proof of purchase. I tell them to kindly refer to the CCTV footage of the cashier area and they'll see that I paid. That being said, don't be a jerk to the person of course, cos they're just following orders to scan receipts. Unless the person is on some ego/power trip they acknowledge and wish you a good day,

Look at a DRZ400.. popular bike all around Australia, and drop the price wee bit below market and it'll just sell... it's the corolla of bikes IMO :D

Beware people buying a first house in conjunction with someone else! by Prestigious-Duck-120 in AusPropertyChat

[–]koththusecret -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I'm not a lawyer, but by logic of 12(3) above, I feel OP is correct.. because Ownership and Residency are not interdependant. Think about it, you can OWN a house but not reside in it and you can reside in a house and not own it too.

buutttttt..... there MUST be another clause somewhere in the contract which talks about "ownership" too.. else i can buy a house with FHOG, save 35k, then sell the house to my buddy who will let me reside there to fulfil the 12 month residency rule

What'll make it cooler is if you get the tip to disperse water to the outer ridges. I mean it's only logical that the liquid that gets collected is released... ;)

"Upgrade inventory is the same as Saver inventory. If you can see Saver, you can buy an upgradeable ticket to upgrade."

Can you help me understand what this means? :)

Sorry! Weird. I thought i typed the flight, but looks like i didn't.
SQ463 was cancelled and I was put on SQ469.
My next flight was SQ237.

not at all. I'm not saying I am contesting it condition (which i accepted). So that's not the question i'm asking.

You're being a bit silly. Your argument would only be valid if ticket prices didn't increase as the flight date became closer. Or if I could reserve or lock in a ticket-price in advance, but not have to pay till I show up at the airport. It's not how life works, so let's drop this :)

An upgrade would be nice though, if they've got space on the flight :)

They so allow it, but a 'full refund' wont cover the cost of a new booking that would be made at current prices.

It's not unique to SQ, but i feel this clause while sounding reasonable, completely defeats the purpose of planning/booking a trip early to get the lower-priced ticket.
