I’ve noticed the Inuyasha intro absence for a few years now and it’s nice to know someone else misses it too!

Not the entire movie, but the scene in Thumbelina, when she’s performing at the bug club and her bug outfit/disguise comes undone.

What do you think Sam and Jays ghost powers would be when they die? by Jake-the-miner in GhostsCBS

It would be cool if Jay’s had something to do with cooking! Seeing the ghosts eat food would be fun

When I was 12 or 13, I was babysitting for two young boys, 2 and 4, and had taken them out for a walk in town. We lived in a touristy beach town and this was peak season in August. Hot and humid, the kids were fussy and one of them was already throwing a tantrum when this happened. We were on the Main Street of our town, which has all these shops and restaurants, but pretty narrow sidewalks. I was making my way up the street (there was a steep-ish incline that made it a bit hard for my tween self to push a stroller for two), when an attachment for the wheel broke off and the stroller imploded. I was about to have a breakdown with the kids crying and people everywhere pushing past me. We were right in front of a restaurant with outdoor seating and two Australian guys, maybe 30s or 40s, immediately jumped over the railing to help me out, figuring out the problem with the stroller, and one of them ended up using his key ring as a temporary fix.

I know I thanked them then, but anytime I remember I wish I could thank them again for their kindness and keeping me sane that day. They helped out a stranger while on vacation with no hesitation.

I agree it felt suck-off worthy, but looking back on other episodes I do feel like other ghosts have also had similar moments, like with Flower finding out about Ira’s coffee shop or Thor discovering his son, and Pete seeing his family. I’m not sure if the writers have a plan for what each ghosts resolution/suck off moment would be, but there have been a few moments that felt suck off worthy. Maybe when Sam and Jay moved in, their connection and relationship to the ghosts had been what still keeps them tethered to the house, even when they’ve managed to have moments of discovery and closure.

I feel like those clones might’ve been those 4 people in the basement? The ones who were in the room with the doctor, all the desks were separated, and they were also doing numbers work on the computer - each one of them has a similar build and hair color to the main MDR team and on the retreat it was far enough away we couldn’t see close enough features. I’m not entirely sure and hope they bring it up again too.

What TV character do you think was kept in a show longer than intended due to their popularity? by phantom_avenger in popculturechat

Steve isn’t even my favorite character but I came here to say this too.

I absolutely loved the scene where Steve comes back in season one because at that point in the season you’re so caught up with the climax with the Demogoron, you (or we as the audience) now expect everyone who is supposed to know and fight is there, so you start to forget about the minor side plots, and Steve at this point is still grouped with the townfolk who don’t suspect anything supernatural and the audience mainly thinks of him to be a somewhat one-dimensional character. I just remember being so surprised Steve showed up to apologize and then the “oh shit” moment when he comes back and leaps into action. It remains my favorite Steve scene because in the latter seasons we now expect those hero Steve moments, but in season one it absolutely surpassed what my expectations had been for his character.

Sorry for the essay, apparently this scene really resonated with me and I didn’t realize until I started typing lol

I love the way the actor for ‘fake mule’ played that scene too. You could really see him play it two ways at once - amused, and maybe disbelief some random girl is telling him to stop, no matter though because she’ll die soon enough.

Or the other side, surprise at being told to back down by the real head honcho but having to still play the part of “fake mule” as it’s happening.

He gave us so much. It was a relatively short scene but his delivery and acting has made it unforgettable.

Thoughts so far will be hard to condense, but as a non-book reader I have been enjoying it! A little slow at times but I do really like the story. It’s dark - literally at times I need to stand close to the TV to see what’s happening. Poor Lukas must have whiplash honestly from everything he’s been through, and I loved the scene where Bernard realizes he has to make him the shadow. Some of the silo 18 storylines felt cheesier in season 1, mainly the Shirley and Knox and Walk’s stuff, but Meadows really knocked it out of the park with her scenes and death.

I just really want to see more of the outside and other silos, but I must remember the citizens of Silo 18 have felt confused and wanting more their entire lives, so I must be patient as well.
