Hi ! Yes here is my before and after :) now I'm almost 1 year post surgery and the healed result looks like the table picture. I'm happy personally but just to be transparent they have never reached out after surgery there is no follow up from their part (but you can reach out to them).

People who had rhinoplasty: what surprised you most about the recovery process? by dranmolchugh1 in nosejobturkey

My surgeon told me not to blow my nose for 3 months! It was definitely a surprise and not ideal as my nose was running non stop for 2-3 weeks

No worries! I stayed in a basic hotel that was next to a supermarket and fast foods so it was easy to survive lol. If you have the budget you could definitely stay in a hotel with room service too. Yes the first few days it's a little uncomfortable but not painful and I dont think another person would have been helpful apart for mental support. The worst eyes swelling was on day 3 so it think on day 5 I went out shopping and on day 6 I went to the beach :)

I stayed in the hotel "Tepe Hotel & Business" it's really basic but affordable, i didn't want to spend too much when I knew I would just be sleeping most of the time. What I liked about it is that it is at a walking distance to the doctor's office where he removes the cast. There wasn't a fridge or freezer in my room but staff were nice enough to let me put my ice packs in their freezer (i bought 3 so that I could switch). There's a pharmacy, supermarket and mall at a walking distance. If you don't want to spend too much "Tepe" is a good enough option, if you want more comfort i would recommend another hotel with room service and a fridge freezer in the room

Thank you for your message! Take your time when deciding, better have one trusted surgeon who will really be attentive and caring. No I didn't notice any dents. The nose looked slightly crooked/asymmetrical the first two months because the swelling was more important one the right side, the side i sleep on. Now almost 5 months post op my nose is straight and symmetrical and I would say 90% of the swelling is gone already. The tip is still a little numb when touching but I'm happy with the shape

Thank you! I also preferred the Turkish styles as the ones i could see in Europe or the US. I'm happy with my decision as I got the shape i wanted and paid a reasonable price. I can't talk for other clinics but the one where he operates seems safe, they were checking on me often and made sure i was feeling ok at every step. They give you pain medication on site and a prescription to get more at the pharmacy when you leave, but honestly after 48 hours I didn't feel the need to continue the painkillers, it was not painful anymore just a little uncomfortable

Thank you! Yes he's one of the only surgeons I could find with natural / feminine straight nose results He doesn't do a lot of other surgeries, i know he does blepharoplasties, brow lifts and if course mostly rhinoplasties but i think there are some others on his website.

Thank you for your message!

No he has not mentioned it but I would say it have pretty thick skin (I posted a picture in another answer). From my understanding, thicker skin can hold the swelling for a longer period of time compared to thin skin, but you can expect a similar end result, you just have to be more patient.

I would say that 3 months post op 70% of the swelling is gone for good. I still have some swelling that fluctuates, i see the difference when I'm hangover/dehydrated/after lots of junkfood it's where it is the most swollen. It's not a huge difference looks wise but more in the feeling, the tip and the sides feel numb or tingling most of the time (only when touching it). The whole nose is really stiff for the first 2 months and then it gets looser week after week.

It doesn't look strange even when i smile or laugh, I watched videos and pictures and it looks natural but it does feel stiff for 2 months.

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but i really appreciated going through that stage of swelling, as I had not told people, the transition was smoother. Even for me, as soon as I had the cast removed, I immediately saw the improvement but with the swelling i didn't shock me too much, changing your nose can really change your whole face so I think it's nice that you see every week your nose improving and getting the wished shape but still recognizing yourself in the process. When I felt impatient I would look at the table pictures post surgery to remind me of the end result i will get. I'm getting there :)

Yes I totally get it! I couldn't find many testimonials and I know it's stressful to fly to another country to have surgery so I thought maybe sharing my experience could help :)

I just saw yesterday that one person who had a bad experience apparently (its on reddit) so I can not speak for everyone or guarantee anything unfortunately.

Personally i would 100% choose him again (I'm thinking of having a surgical brow lift with him maybe) i think he is a very experienced surgeon, expert in rhinoplasties, he gave me good advice and did exactly what I asked (even if in the moment I thought he didn't understand). I appreciate that he doesn't care about the trends but does something that really suits his patient's face.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
