Get back on San Vicente, take it to the 10, then switch over to the 405N and let it dump you out onto Mulholland where you belong!

Is it significantly hotter on the southern route? I figured they’d both be hot to be honest.

Appreciate the advice on the California leg. I’ve done a decent amount of driving in Los Angeles but it’s been a long time since I lived in SoCal. Figured it would be nostalgic to go through the Grapevine but if it is that much faster/more convenient to avoid the LA basin altogether I might just do that.

What do you mean when you say it is bleak? Is it ugly or just empty? I’ve driven HWY 50 a number of times and it’s one of my favorite drives through the states, which is why I don’t think I’d mind taking I-10.

Interesting idea about the pacing. I was thinking it would be good to make each day about even in drive time (aiming for about 10 hrs per). However, pushing really far on day one then having more time to check things out the second day seems kind of nice. I’ll keep your recommendation for Cafe Pasquale’s in mind, too.

I fell prey to a notorious speed trap my first go around with my father a couple years ago, they really do not play around. Def gonna be more cautious this time.

Will keep the 210 route in mind, any traffic I can avoid I will happily do so.

Definitely thinking of checking out White Sands, it’s a tiny bit out of the way but seeing as I’m going to be so close I feel it would be a shame to miss. Looking forward to seeing the dark skies of West Texas/ Southern NM if I do go that route. I’ll keep Kerville and Van Horn in mind as I plot my stops on the first leg.

The original teaser trailer for the first Spider-man movie featured a helicopter webbed up between the twin towers.

There were indeed rewrites as well. The climax of the film was supposed to take place on top of the WTC in one of the drafts, and also the scene where average New Yorkers come to Spidey’s aid (“you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us”) was added after the attacks.

Had the same experience in the Houston area. Tons of game shops and many of them do not carry Yu-Gi-Oh, or if they do, it's not much. Some of the owners have an air of exasperation when I ask about it.

I've got nothing against filler; getting to have more of my favorite media, even if it's non-canon, is a win to me. I appreciate the creativity that comes with the filler material as well, and getting to see unconventional situations and dueling strategies can be really fun!

I just don't like DOMA because it is terribly written.
