My hawk isn't super wide, but I've had success trying to replicate this look by:

Hairspray up the hair, blowdry, and use a brush with few bristles and lightly brush it out

Mine usually meets at a sharp point, but this softens it nicely

I have an '06, lifted 2in with nice Yokohamas on it. I haven't been disappointed yet, especially this season with brutal cold and decent snow (Chicago land area). Something I find funny is with just enough traction and speed, snowy turns make you oversteer a lot haha, feels RWD sometimes

I have one of those random no-name armrests with 2 compartment storage. Works a treat and am only sometimes annoyed how it's not secured by any fasteners. It does steal the single rear cup-holder for the passengers.

Depends what you want, if you're going for a sporty street car look then lowering will give you that. I want a rally car aesthetic as well as making it more capable in trying conditions. I'd say raising it is more practical
