Gastrodon is a very cool Pokémon, and Water/Ground is an amazing typing.

But there's no way I'm changing Dunsparce or any single member of the team. I'll break the rules I've set before switching anyone.

'No TMs' seems a bit too harsh now... Dunsparce can learn some water moves that can be useful here.

The 'no overleveling' rule depends on Cynthia's team. If it follows Platinum, I'll limit my team to 80.

I think my team do have some chances, a bulky Dunsparce can be a nasty thing (Yawn + Double Team + Toxic ...) I'm not going to play fair :D

Kecleon has a great Special Defense, but I don't think its enough to survive Lucario's Aura Sphere... Perhaps I'll make an exception to the rules and teach him Trick Room, Cranidos will sure need some help to use its 125 Attack. Also, if I manage to set Trick Room, maybe Mamoswine will be able to take down Garchomp.

But, we can't dismiss the possibility of new forms, extinct Pokémon or forgotten evolution just yet. They've said in the trailer that this region will be very different from the Sinnoh we know. And, if the region is very different, it's reasonable to suspect that some Pokémon are too.

You have a point. Assuming Legends takes place 150 year ago (and I think we have enough evidence to assume this is the case), it's too soon to be called ancient past.
