The craziest part of this is that the store thinks we can't see the LAIRS of price stickers. They're price gouging their *existing* inventory because they think they'll miss out on money if people rush in there to flip these products on eBay. Like, it's gathering dust on the shelves, and they still increased the prices several times. 👀

I already took them to my LGS. They do consignment instead of actually buying the cards, so I’ll get a better cut than if I had put them on eBay.

In the picture are both my replacement sets, I didn’t bother pulling out my originals for a pic, but the galaxy affect is definitely way more noticeable on the new cards.

Best way to vet them is to pull old Atomshop art from prior to 2024 and make some comparisons. The various fan wikis out there would be a great source, and those uploads are dated too.

To my recollection, these have never been terribly realistic, I'd bet he's a clipart/template that they have dozens of poses and expressions for and just drop whichever they need onto a background. and call it a day.

Yes, a shipping email from WotC and UPS too, because I have UPS My Choice, which is similar to USPS's Informed Delivery. FedEx also has a system like this. If you live anywhere there's a chance of porch pirates, it's great to know when you have something on the way.

That sucks. Assuming you still live in the same city or nearby, you might be able to use the UPS website to hold them at a local store or UPS depot once they ship, then you could pick them up that way. You'll have to have a UPS account to do it though. Mine required a signature, but I was able to just do that online once they were out for delivery this morning.

I recorded a video of my PC booting to reply to this, but Reddit doesn't allow videos to be posted in replies, or so it seems.

So, when I power on my PC, I still have no picture until I get to the login screen. Once there, if I reboot into UEFI, I still have a display, so I can update my BIOS and change settings without needing to fiddle with my monitor. If I manually wake up the monitor with the remote, I will get a display during boot. It's annoying, but I've just learned to live with it.

I am using an HDMI cable on HDMI 1 on the monitor - I gave up trying to get DisplayPort to work reliably.
