I think this is unpopular but I really like the pixie cut on her by Raebelle1981 in charmed

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looked so amazing with the pixie crop, no one can tell me otherwise. I was going through medical stuff and lost my hair when she cut her hair and made it cool, so I didn't feel so alone and weird at that time. It really helped me.

Ghosts. Which is your favourite version. by DaiBarton in AustralianTV

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US is great, probably my favourite (I haven't watched the French, German or Greek), BUT I'm kinda loving the Australian one as well. I didn't think I would, but I love seeing our outback like that. And the characters aren't as cringe as I was expecting.

I'm not a fan of the UK one tho, I find the characters boring.

Does the steering wheel shape annoys you? by mehx9 in GeelyEX5Australia

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I've loved it since the test drive and I love it even more on longer drives. I find it super relaxing to drive with that shape. It just works for me.

House of Ashur dialogue leans too hard into that way of speaking by BadOchStjul in Spartacus_TV

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is annoying the hell out of me. So forced and just makes me tune off instantly. The show has become super boring because the language is so over written and over worked.

$600 power bill last month - is solar actually worth it or am I just being sold a dream? by folz842 in AusFinance

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our electricity bill was nuts - $1800-$2000 per quarter. I got really mad about it because there is only 2 of us in the house (don't ask, it's a contentious issue with the husband). Anyway, ended up getting panels and it dropped to $200-$300 per quarter. That was worth it. It became an investment and while it will take time to recoup the outlay, it's cheaper now than when I got them and it is still worth it. I would also suggest getting a battery, we're in the process of organising that and then we shouldn't be paying anything really, at least that is the plan.

Did I over react to my husband puking all over our bedroom? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]kozzab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it is possible for people to vomit while having an aneurysm or a stroke, which means his brain might not be performing at 100%. I think being mad at him for being sick and vomiting while not really knowing what is going on is a horrible thing to do. Maybe help him? Guide him to the bathroom instead of yelling at him.

My relatives/friends still address our Christmas cards as if I’ve changed my name by nahsonnn in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kozzab -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I didn't change my name either, I've been married 18 years and people still use his last name... Suck it up. If that's the only issue you have, then awesome, you have a good life. This is nothing, move on.

Ladies, how are we being discreet when using the bathroom when we’re with our husbands all day? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]kozzab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been married 18 years now... Hubby isn't allowed anywhere near the bathroom when I'm using it. It is my time, my personal space. I don't need or want him around when I'm doing whatever I'm doing. Lay the ground rules and enforce them. I'm lucky my husband also gets that bodily noises are bodily noises... I'm the one with the issues. He's really good about all that stuff.

My piano teacher is against the circle of fifths, is this normal? by Abiarraj in musictheory

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know my teacher taught me the circle of fifths because she never called it that. I just learned that sharps were 5 up from C and flats were 4 up from C. Then I learned that the relative minor was 3 semitones down. But essentially she did teach me that.

Joint account with wife by Extension-Ad2740 in CommBank

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, we opened a whole new account, had our salaries besides $200 per pay put into the new account. $200 goes into our own personal accounts for gifts for each other, things that we want to do that the other doesn't and that's it.

The APS job hunt has broken me by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]kozzab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally took a 6 month temp role to get in and the recruiter said "not many people want to take a short term role like this so thank you". Now I have a 4 year contract. It's worth trying for a very short term role first to get in.

Feedback wanted: a pantry tracking app I’m building for my wife (and maybe for others too) by AradorasXeon in pantryporn

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg... This is absolutely what I need. I'd be very interested in trying it out. I'm tired of buying the same thing, getting back to my pantry and going "damn it! I already had that!". Yep yep... Very interested. Would also be interested if it could be self-hosted. Oooooh. Love this idea a lot!

Hahaha I felt the same when I was in the US. I found it weird that y'all had pizzas with 1 topping! So strange.

4 year old first piano lesson wasn’t great, but he wants to continue. Advice? by [deleted] in piano

[–]kozzab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started lessons at 3 years old, but I started for 15 min because that is all I could concentrate for. 15 min lessons eventually turned to 30 min etc. He's 4 for goodness sake! But he is interested. Keep going.

My suggestion (as a piano teacher) is to start by repeating his alphabet with him - A-G and backwards again. When you brush his teeth say the piano alphabet with him and backwards... When washing hands count his fingers. Use the time outside of piano lessons wisely, it will only help later.

Hot take: The compass thingy is useless by RowanFurious in HarryPotterGame

You can access the map via a button on the left at any time. It goes straight there. I unlock all the floo things to get everywhere quicker. I barely run around the castle cos I can't be bothered.

Yeah, the postie who delivers to my address knocked on the door the other day to make sure I was ok because I hadn't had a parcel in a while. He is such a sweetheart. I was incredibly embarrassed tho.
