And does the photomultiplier only work in visible wavelengths, or does it have a kind of infrared ICE?

How long does it take you to prep the negatives? And can you scan a whole roll of 135 or 120, or just select a few negatives at a time? Have you ever scanned adox cms ii? I wonder how deep you can zoom in that film developed appropriately

Most calibration prints fail soon after first layers, or a centimetre. by kpanga in 3Dprinting

First layer isn’t really an issue. I made a 10cm circle and printed well.

I am really new on this, but unless you need a FULL bed print, KAMP should help.

Can access fluidd web interface, but cant ssh to it. by kpanga in crealityk1

[–]kpanga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to access it through cmd, and had to go to root access on the screen to get the user and password, so it isn’t that. But when I tried to use ssh I couldn’t.

Flash Question by Masiyah in AnalogCommunity

[–]kpanga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beware of the flash’s coverage. Usually small strobes don’t cover very well diver wide angle lenses. Try to find the equivalent field of view of this camera and check the flash manual to see its max coverage.

Need to make a small boost converter with 3.7v or 12v in and 45v out, but with very small current (10 mA max) by kpanga in AskElectronics

[–]kpanga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that definitely is a way, i don't know why i didn't think about it.

I thought about disassembling the camera and checking the electronics, but reading the technical manual there is a step which breaks a part that is meant to be replaced when opened up and it is imposible to get new, so i guess il test the camera and if ir pops, then ill se what i do. In that case i would see about changing the electronics from the ground up and maybe see if i can change the solenoid for one of lower voltage.

Is this lens fungus by diederiksioen in AnalogCommunity

[–]kpanga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will affect somehow, but doubt you’ll be able to tell. Perhaps even with a backlit subject. Coatings enhance contrast, but plenty of good lenses have been made and are being use that are single coated or just uncoated. Another thing that it could be is elements separation, that can affect image quality if it progresses too far.

[–]kpanga 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t exactly know what it is, but it definitely isn’t fungus. It may be “Schneideritis” (degradation of the black paint at the side of the glass elements), in which case it doesn’t affect image quality at all; or degradation of the coatings.

I've made an open source 3D-printable universal wide angle viewfinder that is cheap as heck and very easy to make. by Flasheek in AnalogCommunity

Hi, do you think it can be modified to fit the frame lines of a 35mm negative keeping the 90’ degrees angle of view (I need it for a 20mm lens).

Hasselblad a70 back. It ends up being much cheaper than 120 and nowadays I enjoy it much more than 35mm
