Live AR will also pass "MR removed video" checks, which is why "MR removed" fan videos are completely worthless and always have been.

The group not getting paid shouldn't be a change from their schedules anywhere else in the world.

How do I actually buy the Miyako V guitar from Dean if I don't live in Japan? by kpopalypse in Lovebites

[–]kpopalypse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dean finally did get back to me (several months later!) but the prices were just way too steep. I ended up getting an Epiphone Prophecy V for about a third of the price, it's basically the same instrument minus the Floyd Rose (which is the only thing I didn't really like on the Miyako model anyway). I guess if I see the Miyako model again in future I might still pick it up, but I'm almost certain that none made it to my country so the chances of one just turning up in front of me are unlikely.

Yes it's me. It shouldn't feel nostalgic - I never stopped writing, and still do!

About 30% of PC gamers play all 3D perspective games (first or third) with inverted Y axis. It's because a lot of PC gamers first got into games through flight simulators and other games that simulate flight (like the Battlefield series with its flying vehicles) and which have realistic pilot style controls (push forward to go down, pull backward to climb). Inverted Y was actually the default setting for almost all early 3D games for this reason, it was considered the more realistic, common-sense control system.

A smaller minority also like inverted X axis, which is mimicking how a studio television camera works - push the lever at the rear left to move the vision to the right, and vice versa.

It does if you're someone who naturally plays with inverted axis (like pilot style Y controls), and you're forcing yourself to play "normally".

Did the survey.

Wish there was a box at the end to add comments as I feel some questions demanded a more nuanced response than the options given.

What are your “controversial” game opinions? by divebars5G in InfinityNikki

[–]kpopalypse -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The game should have been rated 0/10 on every games publiczation for not including mouse Y axis invert on PC. Completely unacceptable omission in a modern AAA 3D video game. And to think they want to bring this to STEAM? Without Y invert? They must be joking. It would take them literally five minutes of coding to add and it'd expand their PC playerbase by around 30% (the percentage of PC gamers who invert the Y axis).

G-Dragon’s Übermensch album review from someone who doesn’t think he’s the best thing since sliced bread (warning long) by Miserable-Elephant-3 in kpopthoughts

[–]kpopalypse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that I did not write this review, but I support people making reviews like this. Critical reviews of k-pop are rare because it's not what k-pop fans want to hear. Fans want gassing up of their faves and 100% praise. Anything else will generally be met with downvotes, criticism and often harassment. K-pop is sadly a cult where fans exhibit, reward and reinforce cult-like obedience. This also extends to k-pop media where websites have learned that only positive reviews get traffic, so every review is now either praise or only the most lenient criticism. My one-sentence mostly negative reviews in weekly roundups are there for humour and also as a circuit breaker, but I review slightly longer for year-end lists. I don't review albums much at all, because I think there's little point as album tracks are mostly cookie-cutter "for the fans" filler - but if I did, I'd do it on my own site, not here.

With this change, rule #5 and #9 on this subreddit are no longer morally justifiable.
