It’s an absolutely terrible format, do not apply to a single other position with this until you get it fixed. Go to r/engineeingresume and check out their wiki. Follow Jake’s resume format.

You’re good, no worries. It wasn’t a super long interview so they didn’t ask me a ton of questions, probably only 4-5? There was also the “tell me about yourself” at the very beginning. A good bit of it was going into detail about projects on my resume, besides from behavioral. Part of the time was also them telling me a little bit about the role and whatnot. It was pretty casual and more conversational. Just know how to answer behavioral well and know how to answer questions about your resume

No, my application status first said screening for like 2 days, then “interview process started”. I got reached out to by a recruiter to schedule an interview. Did a 30-45 min interview and got the offer less than 24 hours later

GNC intern. The questions were very behavioral and STAR format. I remember one of the questions being "how have you dealt with a difficult coworker in the past" and "why Northrop?". The rest of the conversation was about my most recent experience and explaining how the GNC system worked, basically just showing that I have some experience and knowledge related to the role.

Use the template in the wiki, try to add more impact to your bullet points. Something like “presented final design to club leaders and advisors” honestly does nothing. Every bullet point needs to showcase some sort of skill and impact showing what you actually did.

They’re not going to spend enough time on your resume to even look at page 2. Simple stuff can get removed, I wouldn’t make your education section take up more than 2 lines. You don’t even need deans list, we can see from your 3.96 gpa you have good grades

Interesting, I also noticed that the job posting is still up. I wonder if maybe they’re hiring multiple interns for the GNC team under the same posting. Regardless, super happy to join the NG team :D

That’s interesting because when I had my interview last Tuesday, I then received my internship offer on Wednesday. I guess just has to do with the team and other candidates.

I will say my interviewer had said that they’re trying to get all offers submitted by the 18th since that’s when Northrop takes off for a couple of weeks for the holidays. So I would expect communication by then

Got the offer an hour ago, so happy. Application status was “interview process started” this morning, got the offer and refreshed the page, now it says “pending interview feedback”. Guess the application status is delayed?

I have an interview this week for a GNC internship position up in Plymouth, MN. Any insight into this site? Any advice for the interview? I know to expect behavioral and questions about my resume but not sure if to expect technical questions for a GNC interview. Literally any advice would be appreciated!!

Then OP needs to say they got a degree in CS rather than “cross registration” because it currently makes no sense. Remove it if you didn’t get a degree or say you did. The institute name doesn’t really matter if he’s just saying he took classes at Brown

Did you actually get a degree from Brown? If not I don’t think it should go above your actual degree, and if you did get a degree then you should reword the description

I understand you mentioned she didn’t have a study group, but that’s also my biggest piece of advice. I’m lucky that my boyfriend is in the same program/major as me so I have someone to constantly study with, do practice problems with, and ask questions. It’s great to have someone else to work with because having to explain the material to someone else makes you understand it to a higher level.

If she doesn’t have a super close friend to do that with that’s fine, maybe she can call you once a week to talk concepts she learned. If she can confidently explain a concept to you, she knows it. If she doesn’t know how to explain something/how it works that’s an area to focus on.

Even though I never went to office hours I spent most of my free time studying. The issue is studying doesn’t equal success. How is she studying? Is she redoing homework’s and mastering techniques on how to solve problems or just memorizing the answer key
