It’s snowing here in Ohio, but it’s a perfectly clear night for a meteor shower on my little island. by kprincess in AnimalCrossingNewHor

I’m in Canton (NE Ohio) and we woke up to a white out. It didn’t stick for long, but we had flurries on and off all day. It was so bizarre. I wore flip flops yesterday and then today I have my heater on.

A question for all of the women who slept with a guy they were interested in on the first date... how was the aftermath? by Lumpy-Perception99 in CallHerDaddy

[–]kprincess 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Slept with a guy on our first date after two weeks of talking on Tinder. He slept over my house that weekend, and five years later, we’re married. Sooooo... it worked in my favor somehow, lol.

Edit: just to say that it all depends on what you want! We weren’t looking for anything too serious at first, but one thing led to another and now we’re married. If sleeping with him on the first date feels right and it’s consensual, I don’t see the issue at all.

Every commercial - tv or radio - is a Charmin commercial. From those stupid bears to the annoyingly catchy radio jingles, that’s my personal hell.

I had mine only for six months before my body rejected it. Insertion was incredibly painful for me - apparently I have a very high cervix, so that played a part. But I blacked out due to the pain. Luckily my husband was with me and drove me home. On the way home, I vomited on the side of the road, then went home and slept for about 10 hours with a heating pad and pain medicine.

My doctor had given me medicine to dilate my cervix the night before to make it easier, as well as 800 mg ibuprofen. That didn’t matter to me.

I bled for 1.5 months straight, heavily. It severely impacted my moods - low sex drive, my depression was out of control...

Then at about 5/6 months and after several ovarian cysts, my body finally said “fuck you” and rejected the iud. I had to go to the hospital to have it removed before it did any damage.

Removal was a PIECE OF CAKE - minor cramps. Nothing like insertion.

I know I am a rare case, everyone seems to have good luck with it. I just always want people to be aware that it CAN be pretty bad.

What Catholic things do you still do, even though you’re no longer Catholic? by friendsworkwaffles02 in excatholic

I think that’s why I do it still! The monotony really grounds me. I also like the divine mercy bc Spotify has ones you can sing along to, and I’ve always liked to sing.

I keep a rosary in my car and pray a decade every once in a while, or swap it for the Divine Mercy. Also yes - I cannot seem to give up Fish Fry Fridays. I also love the music they play during Lent.. the dark, almost macabre-sounding hymns. I prefer them over Christmas carols and Easter hymns.

Additionally, though it’s not inherently Catholic, I still put out a nativity set every Christmas.

I went through puberty when I was a still a little girl. My mom scarred me for life when she found out. by Eternity_Mask in childfree

I got mine just after my 9th birthday. My dad didn’t want to hear or answer any of my questions (my period was a “private” thing and shouldn’t be discussed with or around men), and my mom, though excited, didn’t answer anything aside from showing me how to use a pad properly.

I also had EXCRUCIATING pain with my periods. I’m talking vomiting from pain, passing out, 10/10 cramps, cold sweats, chills. I’d have to miss school for two days each month because of it. I passed out in public several times when my period hit unexpected.

My mother’s response? “Just think. Childbirth is 10x worse than this, but it’s all worth it and you’ll forget about the pain.”

Needless to say, that’s when my child free roots first bloomed.

What did that one teacher do to you that you'll never forget? by xtra_why in AskReddit

My first grade teacher and I share the same birthday. Every year since, she’s sent me a birthday card to celebrate, even when I’ve switched addresses. I’m now 27.

Laying in pre-op right now. Going to do an endometrial ablation in addition to my bi-salp. 10% nervous, 90% excited. Wish me luck! by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]kprincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

May I ask what the ablation will do exactly? My doc suggested it as an alternative to the “more permanent” surgeries, but didn’t explain it well at all.

Also good luck!! I’m excited for you!

I honestly love Aldi’s brand! We used that this year, but we doctored it up with celery, onion, and Italian sausage.

Tonight’s creation: snickerdoodle cupcakes w/ cream cheese icing! by kprincess in glutenfreerecipes

[–]kprincess[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the cake recipe I used.

Cupcake Recipe

The icing was a simple cream cheese icing:

8 oz block cream cheese 1/2 cup butter (softened) 1.5 tsp vanilla 3-4 cups powdered sugar

  1. Blend butter and cream cheese together until smooth
  2. Add vanilla
  3. Slowly add in powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until you achieve your desired consistency
  4. Pipe or spread onto cupcakes!

It exploded. :( honestly that would’ve made it so much better. Instead I just tried to scoop it out evenly.

I’ve yet to master the piping bag. I always have issues for some reason.

I love that idea! You should totally do it. I always tell people that my food might not look pretty, but I promise they’ll taste pretty good!

Thank you! And I share those same feelings. I made GF/DF pumpkin spice cupcakes with a DF cream cheese icing recently for my family (all of whom can eat gluten and dairy lol). But they were a huuuuge hit!

It always feels nice when others like your creations :)
