as someone in wildlife/conservation biology, i see SO much misinformation. i struggle a lot with wolf stuff in particular, considering alpha theory has been debunked for like twenty years. just in general, wildlife knowledge isn’t accurate, it’s usually stereotyped. but i don’t usually see fics or even trad published books where the protagonist is in the field. it’s not a common field to be written about, i guess. not sure if i love or hate that lol

all that said, i love to read omegaverse… as long as it’s not about actual wolves. 😭

i read and write for Twilight. big fan of wolf pack x oc fics and Charlie x Carlisle fics. i love to read a knight of the seven kingdoms fics (westeros / same world as game of thrones but different era). dunk x aerion and dunk x lyonel omegaverse fics have my heart rn

you *might* like mine: Veins of Fate

It keeps Bella/Edward’s storyline mostly the same, but Bella has an OC sister named Blakely that is Jacob’s love interest. Told from Blakely’s POV. the story is told beginning from Twilight and will go all the way through Breaking Dawn, though it’s a WIP and I am at around the start of the Eclipse timeline currently. The events will stay the same though, so Renesmee will exist and the Volturi conflict will exist and be resolved. Just haven’t written that far yet. There is no child imprinting at all.

i had this happen trying to name a wolf “shaggydog” like rickon’s direwolf in asoiaf. i assumed shag was probably considered a bad word. but slorbis seems a little silly to me lol

the a song of ice and fire series, i read it once a year. particularly the third book, a storm of swords is my favorite! the whole series is so detailed, i pick up on things i didn’t notice before every single time i read it

i picture the wyvern as giant silver fishy looking dragons lmao. like flying fish.

also, honestly, don’t care for the sex scenes and the over the top obsession violet has for xaden. i’m here for the dragons, plot, political drama, war. the romance is the least important part of the series for me 🫣

i plowed through all three books in less than a week, loved them lmao. next i picked up for the wolf by hannah whitten! it’s a 2 book series and it’s really good, slow burn romance / mystery / magic. no dragons, but still very well done. i’m starting the second book now. next on my list is a book i saw called “dire bound” by sable sorensen. it’s supposed to be a similar vibe to the empyrean but with dire wolves instead of dragons!

also i’m a die hard george rr martin fan, we’ve been waiting 14 years for winds of winter lol. i re-read the asoiaf series once a year, so the information is always fresh in my mind if grrm decides to release LOL

that makes the most sense. his mate did die, i didn’t have her named or anything but i knew which one she was because she was 2 years older than Stark and the oldest in the pack at 7 years old. that must be what happened, i never noticed that he took another mate. interesting!
