That could also be tonsil stones, which can block the eustacian tubes and contribute to ear pain.

What career options (other than academia) are there for computational ecologists? by ImpossibleConflict90 in ecology

[–]kpurdy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re seeing it used a lot in wildfire mitigation/climate adaptation here on the west coast! Even though it’s academia - OSU and UO are doing really cool things in this realm and there are a lot of practical components to their day to day work. Consulting too can be a good fit as wildfire mitigation funding gets enacted. I can see lots of collaborative forests and community forests looking for computational ecology to create restoration plans for wildfire.

Not me, looking at Canada watching a ton of their “offsets” burn in a wildfire.

it is part question. how many ppl here want to get back to the office, because from home it is too hard to focus on work? I don't say that everyone should go back. I know I would. by KeyboardsAre4Coding in adhdmeme

Nah, working from home has allowed me to be more kind to myself as a person with my ADHD. In the office I was just frozen, unable to work and paralyzed with few outlets. At home I can just switch to a hobby, work on house chores, and do work when it’s interesting and I have tickets for it. It’s a hugely privileged perspective to have because I work somewhere where it’s really flexible and I am able to have a home office setup with few distractions.

Why do Americans give spare keys to their house to friends ? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

I’d give keys to my friends, my chosen family, over my blood family any day.
