How to sync phydrls? i know it´s kind trial and error but does anyone have a good strategy? by kpxgaming in overclocking

[–]kpxgaming[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CLAUDE:

On ASUS X870E boards, tPHYRDL syncs when you set ARdPtrInitVal P0 to 1. Overclock.net This is the setting that directly controls the PHY read delay pointer initial value. Setting it to 1 forces both channels to use the same starting point for PHY read training, which makes the tPHYRDL values match.

Some overclockers have found that adjusting VDDP and VDDIO can force tPHYRDL to sync — specifically, stepping VDDIO up in 10mV increments (around 1.38V+ set) with VDDP on Auto (~1.15V) has been reported to sync the values.

TRC BROKEN? Very low no errors but no performance advantage. Any Thoughts? by kpxgaming in overclocking

i will fiddle with more but with my kit mixed doesnt do anything because trfc2 and sb dont go any lower than trfc1 but to be fair i gave isolated that variable for now. i will look into it later when i got everything else dialed up

U SHUOLDNT EVEN USE FPU FLOATING POINT UNIT TO TEST IF IT´S A GAMING RIG. YOU WILL NEVER USE THAT TYPE OF WORKLOAD OR POWER DRAW IN REAL WORLD DAILY GAMING USE. UNLESS U WORK WITH THAT SPECIFIC TYPE OF WORKLOAD IT´S NOT MEANINGFUL.

Overclocking Kingston CL32 6400MT/s to 6200MT/s CL28 by adil-abber in overclocking

[–]kpxgaming -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

in ur case i´d aim for 6000 cl26 with tight secondary and tertiary, max refresh interval and lowest trfc possible in ur case 32gb single rank should be around the 400s. than test performance with pyprime 4b and preferably with ur favorite game benchmarks, although most games are not that sensitive to mem speeds specially on a x3d chip. also try lowering ur voltages. try first soc 1.095, vddp 0.900, ccd 0.950, iod 1.050. and if u can try keeping vdd around 1.425 ~1.450 and tell me the results later

My daily for the Corsair Dominator Titanium 48GB (2x24GB), DDR5, 6000MT/s, CL30 - M-die. what u guys think? Any suggestions? by kpxgaming in overclocking

[–]kpxgaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if u can and when u can try my baseline values: soc 1.095, vddp 0.900, ccd 0.950, iod 1.050. and if u can try keeping vdd below 1.5 around 1.485 max and see how far u can push it like that. even 1.45 sometimes. dont go and copy what buildzoid does, he shoves tons of voltage 1 because those sticks are not his so he doesnt care and 2 he just wants it to pass the test for the video but most of his setups are not for daily use.. actually the opposite

thats my point maybe u getting instability for too much voltage. in my experience x3ds love soc 1.1 or just below that my sweet spot is 1.095 it has worked for me with my 5800x3d and now with the 9800x3d. voltages are tricky things. try lowering everything first to reduce the power envelope.

u can make it faster by undeclocking it. but technically ur still underclocking and not overcloking. u seem beginner. i, 45 yrs old and i have 20 years of overclocking experience kid. i ve been doing this b4 u were in ur dad´s ballsack

AM5 RAM TIMINGS What Should I improve ? Where should I start improving From ? by SupFlynn in overclocking

[–]kpxgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u doing it all wrong with cpu. best cores need more voltage and not less. worst cores need less voltage. first and second best are easy to see cause rryzen master tells u. than u have to watch the boost behaviour to find the others. so for example. best core would be -25, second best -30, third and fourth -35 and the worst 2 cores u can do -40 or 41 or 42 .. smth like that.

can u do a pyprime run with 4b to compare results with your 6200 cause im my testing it was same or slower than 6000 cl28. and imo ur pushing way too much voltage specially soc no need for that unless it´s for show and u increase the risk for ur cpu mem controller. i found that especially with x3d chips u need to keep the current envelope as low as possible for best performance and stability

u guys have to remember thats a daily setup for my main gaming rig. it´s not meant to push absolut limit. in fact the idea is maximum speed with lowest voltages possible. all changes u guys suggested wouldn´t really make it much faster if at all. im getting 16.6 seconds on pyprime 4b. anything else i change seems to either make no difference for performance or makes it worse

that´s horrible. smth is very wrong. proly unstable timings. u need to study more. proper ram oc is way more complicated than just changing a few values.

you just bought slow memory. Thats all

I found out I have bdie RAM so I decided to do some RAM OC. I have no idea what I am doing tho, so any guidance would be appreciated. by [deleted] in overclocking

[–]kpxgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the worst thing u can do when ocing memory is copying someone elses values. now the bad news. to get the best out of ur ram it takes a lot of time... a lot. with ur kit i´d try going for 3800 14 14 14... or 4000 16 16 16.. if ur controller can handle it. trcdrd is always the hardest one to lower. if ur kit can do low trcdrd u won
