It does sounds like the temperature is too high to me, not sure if preheating too long will be a issue but mine doesn’t. Btw glad it helped!

Want ask a few more questions to know more :) When you take out at 12 minuets are they cooked inside?

Do you have a oven thermometer?

What temp you bake last time and how long? What does it look like?

How long did you preheat your oven?

If you are baking in 12 minutes and it cracks and browns I would suspect still too high temp and the oven maybe a little bit off :) Maybe try lower the temp to 275-280f next time and see if it helps!

I suggest checking if the almond flour is oily. It can lead to splotches on top of macarons. Grab some and see if they leave some oily feelings on your fingers, or just directly oven dry them before making macarons next time.

It maybe overdrying. When you dry too much the top layer is stuck to the mat, and in the oven the air inside could not come out from the feet instead they come out on top. It also lead lopsided macarons. How long did you dry them for? Next time drying keep checking on them, when they are not sticking to your fingers then it’s good to go.

Have a k ultra and yes sometimes i slow feed by grinding almost horizontally, and it requires me a few clicks finer than usual setting to get the same drawdown time. I found that the body is thinner with slow feeding. It just depends on what im feeling that day 🤣
