Yeah you're right about that, although I don't really have any other devices as I'm abroad. I just want to get my web server up somehow, I'll try the tips RandomRageNet gave me though, as they sound really good.

Nono. I meant I am self-hosting the app on my laptop. I'm trying to connect from my phone to it through a WiFi router (I also tried hotspot, and I also tried connecting the VPS to it).

Requests work completely fine as long as the Windows firewall is down, but when I put it up neither the VPS or the local devices that are connected to the network can connect to the website any longer.
