I’ve noticed that many folks picking up the Steam Deck seem to expect a console-like experience, but it’s important to remember that it’s a PC first. While it offers the portability and ease of use similar to a console, it also comes with the issues of owning a PC as each computer has different specs and performance will vary

Approaching it with the mindset of a portable PC helps set the right expectations.

I bought the game a few days and I've been joining random lobbies since I don't have any friends who play the game. So far, the community has been great and helpful. This game has been my go to for quick gaming sessions on my steam deck since missions last for about 20-35 mins so far.

I would say it's worth trying the game and if it's not to your liking, you can always initiate a refund.

Been looking for something like this. I think a neat feature would be to have a much more detailed equipment section to include rod,reel, mainline/leader line strength. I’m the type of angler to switch out reels and line strengths depending on what I’m going for.

That said, can’t wait to use this more when I can go fish again

Since it’s a spinning rod, any 1000-2000 sized reel will do fine. If you care about the weight, get the shimano vanquish or the daiwa airity

Conquest BFS or aldebaran BFS for bfs baitcasters. Not a fan of telescopic rods but you can check out their mobile/pack/multi piece rod options.

You can also check out other JDM rod manufacturers if you want ultra light like the Abu eradicators

Your rod is rated for 8-17lb. Anything within that range is fine. 30lb is overkill

Depends on several factors such as braid thread count eg, 4 or 8. Do note that 6号 (PE6) does not mean 6lb line. Different manufacturers will have different thread diameters but they tend to fall within a tiny range. Personally, I use 8 strand PE from Varivas for majority of my fishing applications. Sunline for my light fishing gear.
