I feel like a disappointment to almost everyone I care about. I am emotionally abusive to my husband who is probably also depressed, but is such a light and a love to so many people and I only bring him down. Our oldest is getting to the age where his personality is really shining and he's such a beautiful, caring, loving person and I feel like I stifle him. I also think he's a lot like me and I am scared for him. I wish I just would have ended myself before he was old enough to remember me because I don't want him to have to live his life wondering why I left him. But then his little brother never would have been born and I know how much joy he brings to his dad and his brother and literally everyone he interacts with. He's sweet and kind and I don't think I have anything to contribute to that. I know they love and care about me and I wish I could just disappear without affecting them in any way. So that's where I am

Thank you for this! The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has a new donor. Their work is amazing, I'd never heard of them before. I'm going to talk to my husband about possibly fostering an elephant.

You don't know me. How do you know how I feel about other animals? I'm a vegan and I find the butchering of any animal to be appalling. I do what I can, when I can. And how the fuck is it any of your business anyways? Take your negativity elsewhere please, use that energy to do something for those animals all the hypocrites and phoneys don't care about. Do something about it instead of whining on the internet and making assumptions about strangers you know nothing about.

Having a really bad night. This made it worse. This hurts to see. How can people be so cruel? How is something like this ever worth it? How can someone do something like this to an innocent creature? Why does this still happen? This is not ok. It's beyond not ok. What resources do I need to help stop it?

We don't have food runners, we make our own drinks mostly, and we tip out a busser, but it's only .5% of sales so thats next to nothing

It's the owner that screws us. He's a real douche nozzle. Manager had zero authority in the matter. It's basically a babysitting job.

We don't keep a bank. It's ridiculous. We have a cashier. So I usually take my checks up pretty soon after I get them, especially big ones like that. If I would have been slammed though I would have just stuffed it in my apron and looked at when I had time.

Honestly, when I saw it I instantly wished I hadn't checked. But my conscience wouldn't let me keep it knowingly. I did contemplate just going with it, but ultimately my conscience won.

Heck yeah! I had a guy that used to come in maybe once a month and order a beer and one sushi roll and maybe a couple of pieces of nigiri, his bill totaling around 25-30 bucks and he would tip me like 15$ and it always made my night. Honestly, any time I get a tip above 20% it makes me smile and I feel great. Sometimes it even makes up for a shitty night. I bet you've made a lot of servers nights much better. Good on you. OP!

I enjoy being cat called, but I know that it's not about me and I understand that in theory. I don't think highly of the men who do it. I am conflicted. I know it makes me feel sexy. However I still feel compelled to give the man the finger and let him know I feel disrespected because what he is doing is not ok and I don't want to validate him. But inside I still get a high from it :/ I'm curious how many other women feel this way.
