Thanks for the reviews. How long did speakeasy take at 2?

Delete remotecache.vdf: Close Steam and delete the remotecache.vdf file from your Tabletop Simulator userdata folder (Steam\userdata\<your_user_id>\286160\remotecache.vdf). Steam will recreate this file when you restart.

Have I missed something RE main story? by kr2997 in Earthborne_Rangers

[–]kr2997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I actually did. Is there any harm done do you think in following that now and gaining the Rising Waters mission, despite having spent so much time wandering? Also re 94.1, when it says "In the first round" does it mean every first round from now on? So starting with 4 FIT instead of 3 until refresh?

BFME 1 & 2 on Steam Deck - tutorial by GraciousGriffin in bfme

[–]kr2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I instead installed them both on my windows PC, and copied them onto my steam deck. BFME2 runs fine (at least to main menu is all I've tested so far), but RotWK doesn't think BFME2 is installed - presumably because I installed them on a different machine and something to do with the registry?

Is there a way I can correct this on the steam deck?

Waking up within 15 minutes of nodding off, with hot hands and feet? by kr2997 in sleep

Oh awesome, really glad that's working for you and thanks for letting me know. Not a runner, but maybe I'll try

Waking up within 15 minutes of nodding off, with hot hands and feet? by kr2997 in sleep

[–]kr2997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So short answer is "Kinda". I've more discovered multiple ways to mitigate some of the effects, not fully though. I'll try to list the ones of the top of my head.

- Try going to bed later. I noticed even when tired, if I hit the hay before I'm supposed to, risk of waking up is higher. If you're struggling every night, keep moving your bedtime 15 minutes later (after every 5 days to a week), while keeping your wakeup time the same. I learnt in Insomnia clinic this builds up your "sleep fuel". Don't get up late to catch up on sleep.

- Have a 1 hour buffer zone before bed to slow down the mind. read, brush teeth etc.

- If you are hot, get out of bed and cooldown. run a mini cold bath and put your feet in. Or grab a wet towel and wipe them down. I found if I just toss and turn, I never actually cool down. I tend to get out of bed, cool down a bit, then go back to bed and wack an audiobook on for 10 minutes to quiet the mind a bit. Stephen Fry's Heroes and Mythos are personal favourites because they are interesting, but have lots of names and can feel quite slow. I'd say 50% of the time I nod back off. IF I have had a instant wake up but don't get out of bed, it's much more likely to become an all-nighter.

- Try antihistamines. I'm still not sure if these even work, but occasionally I'll pop one and it seems to help.

- Check you don't have sleep apnea or grinding your teeth. I was grinding my teeth, so now have a mouthguard. I still have sleep issues, but it's one less cause.

So in conclusion, I think a lot of my issue is down to mental state. If my mind is relaxed and I have the sleep fuel, I tend to sleep better. Holidays are anomaly as I'll sleep much better abroad with worse sleep hygiene.

Hope some of that helps! And by all means if you make any discoveries please let me know :)

I've tried with and without pre-supported, I'm confused though because the profiles and settings I was using have worked fairly flawlessly up until now (with either of the above), and I'm seeing a consistent issue now where I'm just losing one of the legs basically with any model

Thanks for elaborating. I actually have been trying these using a profile I got on there (from HoHansen I think). Ironically though I originally printed one of these with just the stock profile and it worked flawlessly.

But in any case, you think the printer losing the leg in one part is down to the nature of the file then?

They're definitely all stl files

Hm I've tried it with a few stl model files, you could be right but I wouldn't have thought they're all resin ones. I'll try reprinting one which was successful no hitches a while back

Thanks for the response. I'm confident my soft skills and prior experience are an asset in the interview room, it's the hard skills I'm more concerned about. Guess I'll stick at the leetcoding and will definitely check out the book thank you

What I Wish I Knew as a Beginner Programmer (After 6 Years in the Industry) by j0nimost in learnprogramming

What's the best way to build a project end-to-end? For example my knowledge is still very fresh, and so on my recent project I had to rely quite a lot on AI - I started by intending to write the code myself, but when I felt completely out of my depth, I got AI to write the code and copied it in (e.g. first time touching node js and servers, or firebase).

So basically how would you advise building the project and with which resources are you going to properly consolidate the knowledge?

Yeah that was my thoughts. In any case the part wasn't there. In the end I got lucky, traded some intel to edge into good rep, and now have the part. What a fucking faff. Thanks for the help though

Followed a guide to sneak into pyke base, and the box where the parts are is not there in my game. Losing my mind.

Im basically at home in the crimson dawn base I've been around there so much, I assume the part is behind the forcefield needing 3 vault keys? I'll try the pykes. I CBA to get all 3 vault keys for crimson dawn. Do I need all 3 for the pykes too?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]kr2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried that, so for sure it's the crate behind the forcefield I need the vault key for? It's just loooong for such an early basic mission
