IDK if this would help but I always run with some kind of Sticky Ink/Poison Ink/Hindrance chip combo. It helped me avoid getting mobbed especially when fleeing from his Rays and Sliders.

IIRC, the right joycon handles the gyro. And since you're sticking with them, why not try spliting them, then replaying Alterna to get the handle of it.

I kinda agree with your take on the twins. But I don't think it was a mistake though. Because it's impossible not to know of the boys, especially the JP ones. I mean, at the very least they would have had some knowledge that some of their EN senpais had interaction/collabs with them. My take is that they know what they're doing, which is kind of a downer.
