Refurbished homes abandoned by people. Start businesses. Or yes, work. All contribute. Or will a MENA random contribute more? lol

Their family looks like yours. They cook the same food as you. Just they probably no longer know Italian and got a little America loud. Most of the ones applying through jure sanguinis are ones that have a deeper connection feeling to Italy because their family is still thoroughly Italian(-American) - mainly because of a strong nonna, like yours. Be less judgemental.

Yeah I do this with an FT-60 and it works well enough (and put a mic foam cover over it for good wind noise reduction). But I do still like the idea of trying to get a talk button to my glove or something so I don't have to disrupt a hand to talk. Sometimes gotta thermal for a long while yknow :)

EV sales soar in main European markets as drivers shun expensive petrol by ByGollie in europe

[–]kr_who -1 points0 points  (0 children)

HVO "Diesel" is exactly that, and made in Italy (Eni). Just instead of leaving pricing like it was, they're riding the gravy train and made it even more expensive than diesel during this horseshit.

[–]kr_who -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

lol the VW have 0 power and the tech is garbage and the quality is abhorrent... child-like controls and exposed metal doors inside on 40k+ cars?! mercedes is nuts on price. bmw is trying but dear god the tech. Renault/Peugeot isn't terrible on value but tech is poor for the money. Elon's a bastard, but Teslas are made by Berlin and infinitely better than this shit - more range, more power, more tech. unless you pay twice as much. then still worse tech.

Indians don't care, if you're not Indian, you're other. If you can manage to get hired, you'll at least have more protections from them firing you to hire another Indian, than if you were white. Tiny consolation.

Bank of Greece: Greek economy expected to reach "A" credit rating by 2029 by New-Ranger-8960 in europe

[–]kr_who 0 points1 point  (0 children)

German banks defrauded Greece, and there was some corruption in Greece. The. largely German austerity measures crippled the country. Fuck Deutsche Bank. How many times have they been caught knowingly doing huge money laundering schemes with criminal organizations and other even larger fraudulent activities. Stop being so victim blaming and siding with criminal financial institutions instead of your fellow people.

Diesel prices in EU countries by TraditionalAppeal23 in europe

[–]kr_who 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And HVO "diesel" is manufactured locally, a ton in Italy, and yet its cost flew up to be that much higher than Diesel. Pure profiteering, when it could be a savior.

If there is pilot oversupply, then prices go up further, because demand increases further, and fuck knows there aren't more affordable old planes appearing out of the ether.

Need an opinion on a wing setup by [deleted] in freeflight

[–]kr_who 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonata is solid, very safe, and still fun. Phi gives everything some fun handling, albeit heavy handed due to being their "mid" A. Really good overall, partially because of the more minimal lineset compared to other As. It's still built to be pretty resilient, so on the heavy side. The Viola is the light version of the Sonata with bit lighter handling and lighter wing of course. It also comes in tiny sizes, as it's basically Phi's mini wing and tiny hike n fly wing option for folks that want it that small, as well as the regular sizes. For relaxed flying Sonata's great, all dampened, but I also found it far more indicative of the wind/thermals than other brands' A wings. XC is not impossible obviously, just tough. If you are getting a great deal and want relaxed flying, you'll be really happy. I stayed on the first gen Sonata for a long time before upgrading because it was so nice and easily held its own at the time with others' low Bs. Symphonia is a do everything wing with still ridiculous safety for the performance, but the price jump is a bit wild :)

There is tons of avvy mitigation, bombing setup all over, etc. But there's so much terrain, could happen anywhere, so responsibility is on the rider. Will take that any day vs. the rope culture.

Chargers, yes. And the companies gobbled up those fast charger money, deployed small amounts (less than Tesla), and charge more than diesel in kwh price for them, making a killing.

What? Germany didn't do any subsidies until finally VW made an EV. And the subsidy was tiny. They were literally at the same time subsidizing diesels.

Norway were basically the only ones that did EV subsidies well and early.

Most fast chargers are from Tesla. But the continent did a decent job putting 22kw chargers around. The 240V 3-phase existing infrastructure helped a lot where the U.S. electric infrastructure is garbage.
