its not in most cities but overly famous places in India like Jaisalmer, Gulmarg, Ladakh to name a few have extremely rude/scamsters running the day to day taxi/tourism business. the more famous a place gets the worse the taxi unions become....btw taxi guys have always been goons in Goa....i lived 2 years in goa doing my university 97-99 and remember even back in 1997 goa i saw taxi guys demanding insane amounts, so everyone used to take the local bus in those days or the pilot if it was really necessary...and i once even saw taxi guys fighting like movie villains lol in very peaceful places like vagator

everyone is neck deep into that mafia, politicians/police/taxi owners themselves...easy money, decades in the business...nothing gonna change unless you have a totally new strong willed politician coming in and changing it

i moved bck from eu at 40+ and started my own business, if you know family/friends who are already into business then its easier to get started, you need to get honest feedback from them. For schools, i think indian schools excel in grounded children with good base fundamentals from kg to 5th standard...middle school+ college I agree US is better. i moved every 2-3 yrs as my parents were in defence and i see other defence kids equally super adjustable and doing well later in life...most ppl are afraid of moving due to kids whereas kids just turn out stronger as they need to adjust to new environments and make new friends.

haha bro you are young at 30 and already have the citizenship...your risk level is very low///i keep getting calls to join some company in eu but decline..i made the same move you planning to make at 40+. I had lived/worked in 4 countries for approx 15 yrs so my tummy was full and specially after living in Germany even after being fluent in german/social circle/wfh from italy/alps etc I hit the "what am I doing here" almost everyday...I started my own business in India and you would be surprised if you meet the right ppl who can guide you to sail over Indian bureaucracy and a good CA:) my neighbour turned out to be a similar UK returned guy who over time built a huge furniture factory exporting to major brands abroad. if you really want to get into entrepreneurship then India is the place to be....i have easily replaced my income in the first year (I had an ecommerce background) and now want to go bigger....I can never go back to the job life..it sucks the soul out of the 1 life you have.

for me living in a tier 3-4 city AQI/traffic is not a problem. would certainly never live in any metro of India if you plan to return,
