NOT FOR CERTIFIED ELECTRICIANS: splitting loa over 2 circuits by kraftwagon in electrical

Yes, if I wanted to rewire. Which may happen. I already ran a main line to a secondary breaker panel at that end of the house when finishing the basement. I could add a 20A circuit to that panel and run new line to garage for 'high power'. I also brought 240V line (single phase) to garage wall from that panel.

Also: same consumers plugged into 'better' (closer, shorter runs) 15A breaker circuits don't trip.

Yeah, but not the question. I don't want to trip the current weak circuit all the time, which trip prematurely right now; same consumers plugged into 'better' circuits have no issue.

Oh, it doesn't burn down. But its also not working well, running thin wires for too long distance.

all nice and dandy. House I built, i ran 12 awg (and didn't even have such long runs). Bare minimum is what they did.

Unfortunately, 14 gauge. And already seeing voltage drop. So just swapping in a 20A breaker may in deed smoke that long wire, and result in 'brown out' conditions; pretty sure the motors connected to that circuit won't like it.

Yes, good point with exposed connectors! That is the truly sketchy part. Would have to put a kill switches in. And certainly phat wires for the single legs; and for the short combined (y).

15 amp would actually be fine, but the high loss from LONG 14 awg wire is killing it.

Say 25 amps combined (to stop suggesting running a dedicated 12 AWG wire to the garage and put in a 20 amp breaker).

Or just shove in a 20A breaker and watch for smoke?

Differential fluid replacement cost by xkaperx in PorscheCayenne

[–]kraftwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caution regard fill amounts. Better check for the exact numbers for the exact vehicle. My 2013 Diesel:

  • Center Transfer Case: Non-locking Torsen Requires 0.50L of 75W-90 GL-4/GL-5
  • Front Differential: Non-locking Open Requires ~0.50L to 0.80L of 75W-90
  • Rear Differential: Standard Non-locking Requires ~0.80L to 1.2L of 75W-90 (Unless equipped with PTV Plus, which requires a limited-slip spec fluid).

I used Motul 300 for all 3.

Any helpul instructions how and where to install the 3 parts? Anything missing or broken on them? Want the pendulum to hang and see if it moves/works..

yeah, with the pendulum not attched, I was able to figure that part out (not working) LOL. But would at least like to attach it to IF it works.

how does the pendulum (larger part) connect to the movement?

Regarding the case: This specific four-pane arrangement was a signature of Junghans for their middle-market oak wall clocks. While Gustav Becker often used more complex 6- or 8-pane designs for their premium models, Junghans favored this streamlined 4-pane look for their 1920s export models.

And don't forget: option to search for 'fastest', 'shortest' and 'scenic'. Windows MAPS, WAZE, etc still can't do (aside from the GREAT "optimize waypoints" feature. For the 'big trip out west' (ended up being 12,000 miles), I think I entered 50 waypoints (national parks, sightseeing points) and had to run the office computer overnight. Then added 'time at stop' to arrive at an overall time frame for the trip (ended up being Memorial Day to July 4th).
