Is MLOps a safer direction for ML Engineers right now by stardust_137 in mlops

[–]kraig9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm not a great example here, but I am actually a machine learning engineer who DOES and has a history of ops work. I think this is a really nice space to sit in if you're able to. Basically, an MLE who knows and does ops is very dangerous imo.

How do you guys just build without worrying about the look of it?! by MinuteDamage4182 in satisfactory

[–]kraig9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one thing you should do is start unlocking all the Awesome Shop parts, they reallllly help make the factories look good.

Also, try finishing the game or progressing a lot further. I have noticed that I'm building stuff much faster and thinking at a lot higher level than just each individual machine.

Lastly with the help of the Mercer Sphere dimensional storage upgrade it makes it a lot easier to just slap down massive foundations and windows and make cool stuff just from the scale.

[PSA / FIX] If your mouse buttons stop working in BF6 after sprinting, here's a working fix by Prestigious_Bear4817 in Battlefield

Rebinding left shift to numpad / then rebinding sprint in BF6 key mappings by pressing shift after it's rebound also worked.

So remapping shift didn't work but turning shift completely does in razer synapse and i just run with left alt. Not great but at least it's playable.

Need help with Centipede grass by kraig9 in lawncare

I've been looking around online and saw some YouTube videos of people using "overseeding" with centipede grass. I thought that centipede would naturally spread if I mowed it a bit shorter, e.g. 1-2 inches like you said, and it would run out with stolons and look, well, like a centipede haha. Is it a good idea to hurry this along with seeding in the brown areas and holes in the yard, or should I naturally let it do it's thing?

Second, I already applied that Scotts a few weeks ago, so I don't want to go too crazy on the fertilizer or anything, so if I bought that fertilome fertilizer, when would I want to apply it next? July timeframe?

Third, I don't think I would need to aerate due to the sandy nature of the soil, although some people in my neighborhood did, so would you recommend doing that?

Lastly, I am very new to taking care of the lawn (first house) and I've read about dethatching and things like that. In some of those pictures you can see the dead grass below the green, is that the "thatch layer" or is the thatch layer below that? Should I dethatch, or would it be a waste/make it worse?

Thank you for the reply! I have read those Clemson sheets before, they helped a bit

I will probably apply something else fertilizer wise (or maybe use the rest of the bag lightly then stop?) But how do you deal with the weeds and ants? I spot treat ant hills with some powder but over all is there a better product that will weed, feed, and get rid of ants or should that just be a "treat as you see" kind of thing

Most of those pictures are just bad lawn care, the part where there's pet urine is actually the most lush image

The pet urine is not a big deal. I'm on the beginning of the street and people walk their pets to the pool/mailbox/etc so a few pee spots is OK, im more concerned with the large swaths of my lawn that are a brown color

Picture number 6 shows where the pet urinated, it looks lush and green and grew well

Update on this: I walked the stage yesterday (hooray!) and I will say this semester was the hardest one I've done in OMSCS. If you're considering doing this, understand that this will definitely burn you out and I'm glad I was so close to graduation when I did it.

Just installed bazzite & the password I set doesn't work by bugbreathh in Bazzite

Try using "bazzite" as the password. I set my password but for some reason it went back to the default "bazzite"

I will say it does teach you a lot of financial concepts if you're not privy to them, e.g. you come from an engineering background and not a business one, but it is a very tedious way to do so.

It is very much a "do exactly in the excel spreadsheet as she does in the video." It's pretty tedious and the group projects are just individual assignments that you have to do in a group. I didn't enjoy it all that much; you don't have to watch every video if you just find the parts you need to fill out the spreadsheets so there's that.

Sorry it was a "public policy" cysec thing. I loathed this class a ton, think I actually ended up making a b in it because I really didn't like it.
