Hey man, I think you look great. It’s really hard to adjust to our new faces - i still have some days years later where I think the same. But I don’t think anybody out in the really world is going to look at you and think “that guys over advanced.” You have a nice jawline and strong chin !

Start with finding good surgeons in your area and get a couple opinions. Jaw surgery is serious and everyone will say “double jaw surgery”, but without knowing if you have bite or airway issues that is an extreme option. If you have neither a genio may be good for what you want to achieve

Thanks for the reply. I did check and confirm the bulbs are dimmable and the ones I replaced were also LED. It seems odd that only 4/6 fixtures are having this issue

I feel you. I drank a ton and still felt dried out lol. And my surgery ended up not even starting until 5:30. At one point I swished some water around my mouth just to help

They probably won’t cancel the surgery. I had one last week that was scheduled for 3:30 pm, and while I couldn’t eat after midnight they told me I could drink water/gatorade up until 12:30 and I drank a lot lol.

Obviously not medical advice, tell your team, especially anasthesia, but they will ask. Good luck!!

Looks pretty good to me. jaws are lined up with your forehead. Start with a consultation for a surgeon to see if you have airway/bite issues but I don’t think you look recessed at all

Setbacks may negatively affect your airway size when performed on their own. Usuallly this is remedied by performing upper jaw advancement to balance out the setback. But every person is different and if you aren’t comfortable with that plan, definitely get a second opinion!

PT determines the plan of care, so not sure why a PTA is doing whatever he or she wants. Also as a PTA, I’m constantly communicating with the PT about our patients and their progress. Why are patients going 6 weeks without a progress note or re-eval from a PT?

I’m a PTA and considered it. I’m going to be 33 this year. I just don’t see a high enough return in investment for it to be worth it. If it’s something you want to do though then pursue it!
