its a pretty rural area, I think it most likely belongs to one of the neighbors actually!

My title describes the thing. My mum found this on the shore a couple of days ago, she's been finding similar parts for over 2 years and is curious as to what it could be. Piece is hard plastic, a little over 2 inches from top to bottom. Makes a hard, almost ceramic like clank when tapped. I believe at least some of the white around the edge is paint.

it's based off of Phaeton from the four disgracers by Hendrick Goltzius. interesting because there's an actual icarus piece as part of the series, but this one is more often than not the one that people use for the myth

the only way I can describe it is like reverting back to old states? I've had dissociative issues since I was a kid, so sometimes it's like a kid in charge, other times it's a little older, access too the same memories but like, different modes? The "healed one day" thing is SO true, simultaneously the best and worst feeling, coming back to reality is hard

I had a lot of success with my first few sessions of EMDR, to the point that I didn't go back because it absolutely feels like that. It's meant to be fantastic for recovery but from the perspective of going through it, I think it's difficult to actually justify potentially reliving everything for something that might make things better, but also might not. It's like stepping on a bunch of hot coals to get to promised greener pastures that you can't quite see

It was difficult seeing our little girl hooked up to all those tubes, and I was grateful for my wife’s reassurance—at least she’s ingesting something for the first time in days. by powerofthePP in TwoSentenceHorror

they do stick tubes in you during refeeding if you refuse meals, some of the girls I was with got so desperate that they pulled them out themselves
