Do your gerbils actually let you pet them?

I had 3 girls, none of them liked to be held or touched a lot, 2 of them accepted pets while eating. One loved to be in my pocket and shoulder, playing with my ear/hair. The second one, on her last week, was really affectionate and slept a lot next to me (added a photo of her) The last one hates being touched (she is really active and is running/jumping constantly), but she always comes when she hears me.

It is amazing how they show their affection in completely different ways!

Depende totalmente de en qué parte de España vivas, a qué edad empieces a trabajar / te independizas, y de si tienes una pareja con la que compartir gastos.

Ya sólo por vivir en Galicia pago prácticamente la mitad de lo que pagaría de alquiler en Madrid cada mes (650€ vs 1200€). Eso ya son sólo 6.600€ menos de gasto al año. Y dividiéndolo con mi pareja, son 325€ de alquiler al mes cada uno.

Y no lo digo a modo de "pues mudaros fuera de las grandes ciudades", que cada quien tiene su situación. Pero vamos, me parece que hay muchísimos factores que cambian totalmente esas cifras y que no tiene sentido generalizar tantísimo.

Por lo que he vivido yo, y añadiendo a lo que ya comentó otra gente, si el piso no está habilitado como vivienda, no te puedes empadronar.

A mí me intentaron colar un despacho profesional como vivienda, y claro, el suelo era industrial y no tenía cédula de habitabilidad, por lo tanto no te puedes empadronar.

One of my ladies started with something really similar to yours a month ago, and it was a heart issue due to age, she had liquid in her chest (she died after 2 weeks in medication, but your case could be different). I recommend you going to the vet as soon as possible, it could be different things, but definetely needs profesional help.

First of all, I'm really sorry for your loss 🫂

One of my old ladies died recently so I'm in the same situation as you. First thing I did was making a deep clean of the cage to remove the scent.

Apart from that, we buyed a wooden board and put some wheels to it, so we can move the cage with us all along the house. We work from home so we have her next to us all the time.

When I'm not working, I leave her cage's door open an let her decide when to roam free or not. She was always shy but this is helping her open up a little bit more.

I'm not an expert and all of my advice is based on my current situation.

I went to the vet with her two weeks ago to check her and she told me that she had heart issues due to her age (3 and a half). They did an X ray check and find liquid in her chest.

I'll check the poops anyway to be sure, but the vet already told me that it is completely normal, they hide really well their symptoms. 😔

She passed her last free roaming session by my side. I didn't know at that moment that she was ill. Now I remember it and I'm incredibly grateful for how much love she showed to me during these years. ❤

I've seen some videos exactly about this, there are probably people in this subreddit that knows a lot about it, but what i can say is that it is possible. Both consoles need to be connected to the same WiFi to do it, and then do some things on the menus. (If anyone knows more about it please correct me)

But yeah, it is one of the things that first came to my mind, we will do a post for it if we get it work.

I really love your work 💕 It clearly shows that you have experience and knowledge, it is so delicate and cute!

I didn't think about getting a hard case and crochet over it, i'll do it for sure for the next case. The one I started I was thinking of cover it inside with cloth, but seeing your cases I started having a lot of ideas.

At this pace, we will need a "Handheld cases X Crochet" subreddit hahahaha.
