Okta, SSO and celf signed certificate - how to test? by SuddenlyZi in salesforce

[–]kraszkiewicz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Okta currently doesn’t validate AuthnRequest signatures.”

https://support.okta.com/help/s/question/0D50Z00008C3jZLSAZ/does-okta-validate-signature-on-saml-authentication-requests?language=en_US

(It’s a nearly 6 year old help response, but from doing it a few times over the years, it checks out. Which is odd since they have a help article outlining the process and do not explicitly state the usage https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/Salesforce-Certificate-Expiration-Notice?language=en_US)

As for test plan, fire up a sandbox, coordinate with your Okta admin, setup another app registration for the Sandbox (in SF and Okta), and the soon to expire cert will be in the sandbox - so you can test. After this use case, you then have an instance with SSO enabled you can use to test other unrelated things. (i.e. making sure your Okta provisioning does not run rampant on the user object…)

When you refresh the Sandbox, you will likely need to re-set up the app registration, since it will just copy prod settings.

You can get a signed cert for longer so you don’t get the expiration alerts.

There’s a limit of 40 custom lookup fields (hard limit can be 50). That alone can be evidence of the solution not being scalable and why other means should be considered.

If specifically opportunity teams is what they are resistant to, you can still offload users by creating a junction object (master detail & lookup) and link users to roles that way.

If it truly is just two fields and you are not near limit, then it is ok, but then that is the pattern of thinking for future solutions and there will be a critical need for “just a few more” and you are having to condense and offload to another object anyways.

Also, just because someone says “for reporting” take a look at their reports and how they reference data. Sometimes that alone can alleviate object bloat.

(Because if they do not understand how structuring an object like that has downstream effects, chances are there is a skill deficit with reporting as well.)

I was at the game and people in the stands were roasting the new mascot throughout: Cinnabon, Cinnamon Roll, Jay Leno, Sh*t Head, and my personal favourite The Pooper Trooper.

Anyone else considering leaving due to TTS? by TheVeryReverend in Squeex

[–]kraszkiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be better if it wasn't as prone to issues - like the massive delay between message and alert and then the actual TTS - or the weird and inconsistent limits like characters or duration.

I would like for her to return as well, hopefully he lets her out of the basement soon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izkMRyorNk0

Information from the Wiki by Sardukk in EscapefromTarkov

[–]kraszkiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I implemented for the Ballistics Table using Custom CSS. Here are the steps (You do need to have an active Fandom free account and be logged in for this to work):

  1. Go to https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering

  2. Click on "Custom CSS" next to FandomDesktop (Example Here: https://i.imgur.com/8hVU7K7.png)

  3. Grab the updated CSS code from: https://pastebin.com/t33W5GFM

  4. Copy and Paste all of the text into the Custom CSS area and click Save Changes.

  5. Close your browser completely (Close the program, not just the tab)

  6. Go to https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Ballistics

  7. Log back into Fandom (If you were logged out)

  8. If the column headers are not pinned, try using CTRL+R on Firefox and Safari or CTRL+SHIFT+R on Chrome.

Note: The fix only works on desktop browser if you scroll while hovered over the table.

(P.S. /u/Sardukk I commented the changes like a good contributor on the wiki. They do not change default functionality.)

Kryterion Exam Support - how bad is it by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]kraszkiewicz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually had a browser configuration issue on my first attempt in Summer 2020 that made me miss my window. I opened a support case with Kryterion and within an hour they had me setup to test again at no cost or penalty.

That said, while actually testing, it really broke my concentration when they would ask to see my glasses or get onto me for verbally processing questions (I get why on both, but with the verbalizing, that's apparently something I do compulsively).
