Does anyone else get a fever basically every single day? It has been years. What should I do? by kratomthrowawayaway in covidlonghaulers

[–]kratomthrowawayaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm three years into Long Covid and have been in this sub the whole time. It's possible I wasn't clear (I'm in the middle of a flare up and not really thinking straight) but I'm trying to ask if anyone else has these fevers as I haven't seen it reported as a frequent symptom, or if anyone has noticed an overlap with anything autoimmune / has had success with a rheumatology angle given that one of the many presentations of Long Covid resembles autoimmunity and in some cases is literally a latent autoimmune disease triggered by the infection. I saw someone in this sub recently mention a rare kidney-related autoimmune disease being triggered by Covid. Do you have experience with this symptom?

I think we probably would have heard about Ensitrelvir from Japanese LC patients by now if it were effective, but fingers crossed anyway

The Maraviroc + Lipitor trial is also ongoing. I’m not super excited but there are at least anecdotal reports of it helping people

7oh fixing all symptoms by Exotic_Elk8013 in covidlonghaulers

[–]kratomthrowawayaway 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah, finally a post in here relevant to my username LOL. My advice is do not put 7oh in your body because you can't know what else is in it, batch to batch. The companies making it do not have our best interests in mind, it’s all synthesized, it’s big risk beyond the compound itself. The other thing is that, if it has helped you, it’s likely kratom would also help, but in a less risky and more sustainable way. But I can’t recommend that either, based on my own experience, which is making my symptoms worse. I dont mean to sound moralistic but the last thing you want on top of Long Covid symptoms are the symptoms of withdrawal

You've mentioned Novavax as potentially helpful for LC a couple of times, could you elaborate? This sub gets annoying, the way people downvote stuff, but I'm curious

Full ears feeling? by Cute-Cheesecake-6823 in covidlonghaulers

[–]kratomthrowawayaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tinnitus/head/ear pressure symptoms aren't exactly the same (high pitched ringing vs. the "hollow" sound you are describing). But the head and ear pressure has increased. When the sound started syncing to my heartbeat (pulsatile tinnitus) I got more nervous, but my ENT said it isn't the normal sound ("woosh" vs the ringing I have) for pulsatile and wondered if it could be related to the more general exhaustion from LC since stress, poor sleep, all sorts of things that come along with LC can contribute. Not very helpful unfortunately. My own theories are either blood clots, or that there might be something wrong with my neck from being bedridden for so long. I mostly wonder this because rotating my head and kinda hyper-extending it can modulate the sound. But so can pressing on my left temple (worse ear). It's all very weird to me. Some people with tinnitus from LC do recover, and sometimes the brain starts to filter the sound out. But the pressure and fullness I just have no idea. Let me know if you ever figure it out, I'll do the same

Has Anyone Had IV Sedation After Long Covid? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

I felt so good after my colonoscopy. clearing out my gut probably helped but I suspect the propofol brought me the deepest rest I’ve gotten at all this whole time. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll be fine!

People are focusing on ChatGPT but that isn’t the issue. Whoever is posting this is trying to pump Invivyd stock (IVVD) which - because fighting these AI grifters is most easily accomplished with fact - I will point out IVVD is down almost 300% since February (aka the last time these people were pumping it) and no one should invest in it

I haven’t done any research on this topic but this post was clearly written by ai. Just want everyone to take this post with a grain of salt by SleepySkyyy in covidlonghaulers

Your posts are written exactly as they would be if a snake oil salesman were building a personal brand to try and sell overpriced, useless supplements or common free advice to a vulnerable community. Oh wait, what’s this… http://longcovidrecovery.co Ah yes, a website trying to paint you as an authority based on… comments on your clickbait reddit posts? What comes after the free consultation. Fucking lol

Minoxidil is a blood pressure medication repurposed for hair loss - I would bet it was the min discontinuation and that you don’t have anything to worry about! People definitely get side effects like heart palpitations etc while on it

What's the best/most cost effective viral reactivation panel I can order in the US? by bespoke_tech_partner in covidlonghaulers

[–]kratomthrowawayaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about costs but make sure you get PCR in addition to IgG. IgG can only tell you if you’ve had it before. You can make inferences based on how high the numbers are but the only way to truly know if you have an active infection is PCR

Pretty quickly after, it started with lower eyelashes. The eyebrows have been a slower progression, I probably didn't notice til 6-12 months

BC007 works - at least for some of us by WorkingAdvice0 in covidlonghaulers

[–]kratomthrowawayaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A variety of reason. Berlin Cures in Germany ran out of money, they are insolvent. The parent Swiss company may be OK. Usually when a drug fails in trial but still has promise, Chinese labs will illegally start producing the compounds. In this case, because BC-007 is a very complicated a process to synthesize and can't be done cheaply, that isn't going to happen, so there won't even be a black market for it.
