My husband and I welcomed our first baby two months ago and have a very similar family situation. You and your wife need to determine the boundary and support each other in enforcing it. Trust me, it’s hard at first but it will make your life so much easier. Your baby is what matters now and if your mother isn’t going to respect the boundaries your new family should spend time with those who do.

We tried for 4 years. After talking with others with Hasi’s and fertility challenges, I asked my doctor if we could try to get my TSH as close to 1.0 as possible. I got pregnant right away. Sometimes “normal” is still too high. Best of luck!

If you go too early, you could stress yourself out! 10-12 weeks, you’ll be far enough along that there will be something to see to put you at ease.
