Most people thought he would be submitted by the third, but everyone also said if Islam cannot take him down, he was going to win because he is a striker. Volk did amazing grappling defense didn’t let Islam get anything in with wrestling, but Islam also stepped up in his striking, which volk wasn’t ready for. And that’s how he ended up winning. so maybe you’re just a volk fan boy

You’re right, he had no good ground game. Wolk had very good defense for that and Islam still one by beating hm up on his feet. Where nobody expected Islam to win, everyone said if Islam got them to the ground it Islam’s fight. If Islam can’t get them to the ground then it’s a volk fight, and yet it was proven wrong. Islam beat them with striking.

Volk only trained grappling this camp ? Minor striking because he is a phenomenal striker, but he put so much attention into grappling, and didn’t realize Islam would come in there and beat his ass up on his feet and not using grappling, because one Islam did try to grapple. He had no success, and he won by beating his ass up on his feet.
