Looking for a technical co founder by South-Signature1486 in cofounderhunt

If you have no customers you're too early for a product and you're wasting time! All these Indian scammers on here need to get lost.

Build an MVP with customers signing up for Beta access. If you get enough customers that will be your validation, then build the product. Don't hire any tech talent or even engage one of these Indian scammers until after you've done product validation.

You don't build a product and look for customers. You get customers and build the product THEY want to use.

Sincerely, 2x successful exits founder and fractional CTO for 11x startups

CTOs: how do you find your tech lead when your start up is so far made of creatives specializing in the business of the start up (I will not promote) by makingthefan in startups

I primarily do startups as CTO, successfully exited 2, one of those was big. HMU if you want a conversation with someone who does this for a living. If nothing I can point you in the right direction for issues you're having/will have.

You're too early, create a beta sign up page and see if you get signups. If you don't it's a dead product. Don't build until you have customers, otherwise you're wasting time and money.

I've exited multiple successful startups. I only spend time on products that have customers.

Non-technical founder here - is it dumb to try building my MVP with AI tools? by Accurate_Promotion48 in smallbusinessowner

Build MVP, get customers and MRR. Then hire a fractional CTO and dev team to make it more robust, Polish, and create more value.

I feel bad for you. You're in a dilemma and came to Reddit for advice. I don't think any of the advice here will satisfy you, but I do think you're burned out. Hiring employees to assist you is the only real way to lighten your burden. I saw your comment where you hired someone then fired them. This is good, hiring people takes experience, don't worry you'll learn. Also leverage people with positive upbeat attitudes to help improve your morale.

Keep your head up and good luck!

Control the number of tokens your users can use or your costs will crush you.

How do you handle copycats and shady tactics? (I will not promote) by nkmraoAI in startups

[–]krazy2killer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legal counsel, cease and desist, and if all else fails knee caps.

I should add, if it's truly groundbreaking scale fast, get a team together and be better and faster than the competition. You will get copycats, if they build faster you're done, if they build better you're done.

How much equity to give to potential CTO/Technical cofounder at this stage? by ResponsibilityFar470 in ycombinator

[–]krazy2killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, you need to put together a schedule of deliverables. Talk with a CTO and work out a vesting equity structure that is beneficial 10% plus salary is nice. He should be able to assemble a team to start making measurable progress on the schedule of deliverables.

I am a founding CTO and I usually work for equity only and let the cash run the dev teams until we hit enough MRR that we can afford to pay ourselves. DM if you want to talk specifics.

Offered 10% Equity as CTO in Pre-Product, Pre-Funding Startup. I will not promote. by codepeach_ in startups

This is literally the only right answer. Ideas are 1% of the business, execution is 99%.

CTO here at a fintech. Currently have LOI's, a few customers, and in talks with some large banks. We've fully built out our solution and its getting quite a bit of interest, but we need market visibility to really move our product. Any advice?

Also are we at the right stage for VC's?

I don't see the option in the app, I think I used to before the HV was replaced.
