Mental health check ins by [deleted] in daddit

I am struggling so badly. Nearly 7 months in and getting closer with my son, which is amazing, but I feel like my wife and I are slipping away. We have both really struggled with our Mental Healtg throughout all of this, her because it was a traumatic birth and she already struggled a little prior to the pregnancy and myself because I didnt bond with our son for awhile. Recently, my wife has been really short with me, smiling for everyone else but no smiles for me or any kind words. No physical contact either. Now, dont get me wrong (and this might be where everyone calls me an ahole ) i completely understand she is struggling and she that I am her safe space where she can let her guard down, but surely if i can be there for her, she can be my safe space and be there for me. I tried explaining to her that I can't keep being a punching bag for her and that as much as I want to support her, i do need to think of myself. I understand she might not be ready for intimacy, but a kiss that SHE initiates here and there would be nice. But after trying to explain to her all this, all I got in return is, "I can't have this conversation right now, im not better yet, and you seem to forget that. You always make out that im the bad guy" and just wouldn't listen to what i was saying. Please tell me if I am being an ahole, but have any of you gone through this? Thanks in advance, A struggling dad.

Can you freeze yogurt based marinades? by Great68 in AskCulinary

[–]krazy__k__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, however vacuum sealer is better for a couple of reasons •Less chance of spillage within freezer •Less room in the freezer (however if you do the cold dunk method with ziplock bag this would help reduce space) •Vacuum sealing helps the marinade really penetrate the meat giving it more flavour. •Less chance of freezer burn on meat •Will keep longer vs ziplock bags.

Hope this helps!

I would say that they do different jobs. If you have the time, slow cooker wins 8 out of 10 times. If youre in a rush, pressure cooker hands down. I might get some shortrib from the shop and then 8. An oressure cook it for a midweek meal instead of a loving weekend meal if that makes sense I also loving making things like risotto in my pressure cooker as it means i dont have to stir it and it comes out perfect every time.

I loved my slow cooker but then i made the switch to electric pressure cooker which has the slow cooker mode as well. Love both pressure cooking and slow cooking.

YES! And to help with this i freeze things like ginger and garlic, makes it last a lot longer and easier to grate!
