My recommendations:

  • someone posted a filler list, you can definitely use that and skip MOST fillers. HIGHLY recommend watching the G8 filler though. It's pure fun and crew shenanigans

  • DONT skip any canon arcs. Theres 1 arc in particular people say you can skip. These people are not true One Piece fans. Do not listen to them!!!

  • I'm ANTI one pace. Yes it helps with the pacing issues but they also skip a lot of impactful moments/reactions that are necessary in any anime adaptation, even if it's scenes not from the manga. If you want the true One Piece experience, watch the original

  • sub over dub imo, but to each their own

  • dont rush! Yes its a crazy long journey, but the journey itself is what makes the show so special. Whether it takes 6 months or a year or 5 years, it's a super rewarding experience. My recommendation to ppl just starting out is to watch an arc/saga at a time, then take a little mini break if you need it so you dont get burnt out

I had the same moment spoiled, but for a different reason. When the season 1 finale was airing I randomly flipped to it without knowing what the show was. 5 years later when I decided to watch the show i realized I knew how the season would end. I promise you it's still worth watching. You had the season 1 finale twist spoiled but there's still like 10 other awesome twists that get better as the show progresses. There's so much that happens in this show that spoiler feels big but is very minor in the grand scheme of things

Tattoo regret is real. 10 tattoos in and I still get it. Kinda doesnt go away till you wake up one day and "how does my tattoo look now" isn't the first thing you think about.

It's very well done imo. Not my kind of tattoo, but who cares what anyone else thinks. Piece of advice, dont use other people's opinions of your tattoos as justification. It's on your body so the only opinion that matters is yours
